Charlie works so hard on the recruiting front along with his staff, it is just amazing. I have never seen anything like this since the Holtz days. He and his staff never give up and keep goin after the elite talent we need to compete with the best. I just wanted to create a thread to say thanks and how much I appreciate all of their effort on the recruiting trail. I am truely amazed on how many elite players we are getting class after class..Our time is coming Irish fans..the talent is here..I can't wait for the season to start!

Now lets just see how he can coach his players. Doesnt matter how well you recruit; It matters what you do with the talent. Just sayin.

Agreed. If CW can win 8 games and a bowl, I would be very pleased. In 2009, our team will be experienced and ready for a run at a BCS bowl bid...with the talent to compete with anybody in the country and yes that includes SC.

I think this year will be a big improvement from last year and agree with junkhead that 09' and beyond is when we will really start to see the team back in the bcs games/national championship hunt.

I still can't believe the class he brought in after how bad we were last year. The man may have changed recruiting forever with the end of "silent" or "soft" verbals and the "if you're looking, we are looking" rule. How does anyone but a recruiting genius pull these things off with a 3 -9 record?

Let's remember one of Charlie's big selling points last year was telling recruits they could get very early playing time based on the young team we had last year. That won't be as easy this year, but if we can win some dam game, then that will help too! btw, last season was so hard I think I lost some years off of my life.

true they may not get into the rotation as freshman in the conmng years but they will have a chance to be a apart of the team that brings the irish back to the mountain top. people remember those who change history not those who were along for the ride.

I think everyone agrees he has a great ability to recruit top talent. The REAL question is can he develop it into National Titles. I personally, think he is going to do a good job with him and his staff over the next few years. We have a top notch combination with our talent and coaches. Now lets see some NC's!
