The more I learn about Tebow, the less I dislike him. He has been busy in 3rd world countries helping medical missions perform surgery on the poor. He's now helping in prison ministry, and i recently heard him interviewed syaing he wanted to set-up youth ministries too.

(but your point is well taken about the prison folk at the Florida schools. )

I never felt one way or the other toward him. It's his coach that I have a problem with...

You know, you're right. My original thoughts on Tebow were ill-conceived. I like to see that he's now using his notoriety to walk the walk and that's respectable. Plus, I liked seeing him cry after the LSU loss and having his dad comfort him. Father-Son moments like that are special. LSU fans laughed at that, but when you have players that are that passionate, it means there will never be any quit in them and they'll always give it their all. Its why I also route for Dan Hawkins and his son at Colorado.

As for Urban Meyer, to hell with him.

My first thoughts of this thread was: "other than his teammates???" but good for him, his coach is a dousch though.

I always hated the guy, but have begun to think I was wrong. Perhaps I shouldn't judge people I've never met.

When i read the title of the article, I thought he was just talking in the huddle, or locker room. I guess he wanted to go back and get some of the alumni so they didn't feel left out and forgotten.

I originally wanted to dislike Tebow because he plays for Urban Meyer, but I can't. The kid is all class. Just listen to his Hiesman acceptance speech. He plays with passion and really seems like a genuine person. However, I can't say the same for his coach.
