That was great but no surprise knowing he was a marine. Lucky the mugger didn't run into a retired Ranger. just sayin...

Come on now were all on the same team and to say that an Army Ranger is soft is just not right.

IM- please. 1st, the 1st Battalion is out of Ft Benning, but the 2nd Bat is from Ft Lewis. (3rd is Stewart). If it would have been a ranger- he would have been just parts left over. thats all I'm sayin....

I like jarheads. I also like seals. SF- they're just different. But rangers lead the way.

im just messin with ya man. my whole family is in the army and i mean whole family. dad, three uncles four cousins. and they all are in or have gotten thier ranger patches. i just like jabbing at you guys. no harm meant just some brotherly smack talk. my uncle ran the ranger bat for a while but as he got promoted he is up at the pent now. my one cousin was ranger but was with the 82nd he was killed in afghanistan two years ago. ones a 3 star and ones a capt. i was just the black sheep who had to go into the marines corps. i was with first force recon out of camp pendleton.ca. but i respect all brother in arms thanks for your service and semper fi

Grizz are you in the military?

Sorry, ND- I had to leave right after my last post, so just getting back now.

Yea, I am in now. Started active duty army- went to benning for all the infantry , airborne ranger schools, then 3 yrs in Germany (Mech infantry at the time). Got out, went Army National Guard and then shortly after 9-11, went active National Guard (they call it AGR for Active Guard-Reserve). Did the Iraq tour in 2004-5, and am still currently in Idaho Army Nat Guard mob-ing troops here until we go back.

Ah, yes, Air Force, the civilian side of the US military. Just kidding- love you guys, too. My father-in-law (whom I truly love, respect and admire) did 27 years in the air force.

Thank you for your service, too. I liked getting our time in all at once- we were up North in Kirkuk.but had a couple of hell holes to deal with. You might have had shorter tours, but you guys had/have to do them much more often. :usa:

Funny how most people don't understand when you said "great times" but most of my year over there was the same.

its true they all see these "gangstas" on tv and think they are hard. when in reality they are lost children looking for attention from a mommy who had to work 2 jobs or a daddy who didnt hug them. get over it. life sucks sometimes. you wanna waste your life go ahead pull the trigger but be sure its aimed at your skull not some 5 year old or a 50 year old innocent civilian. people like that i have no tollerance for. sorry
