Jerimiah Young-Visited UM on friday and was pretty upset that he and teammate Jordan Hill drove 8 hrs and RR didn't even meet with them. As soon as they got to ND they met with CW and He was very impressed. My take is that if he were offered He'll be wearing Blue and Gold.

Jordan Hill- Was in absolute awe of the facilities and loved his trip. Right now his top 3 are ND, Pitt and Penn State. This would be a good package deal.

Chris Watt- Made his second Jr day visit and ND is in real good position to land his services

Carlo Calabrese- The Irish lead right now. I would hope we have some coaches following him home right now to try to persuade him to join the Irish family. He spoke highly of ND to other recruits all weekend.

Travis Hawkins- Holds 14 offers and there is mutual interest, but needs to get his grades up

EJ Banks- Was unable to make the trip

This is all I know and I'll try to update if I hear anything else.

RR and scUM just picked up a commitment from Teric Jones (RB) out of Cass tech in Detroit which is why he supposedly didn't meet with Young. I would love to add Young, and Wood to our class as the two RB's. Also from everything I have gathered Calabrese will be Irish.

He also lost two more senior OL along with Boren

They left on their own accord. Alex Mitchell 4* and Jeromey something 3*. Neither of them were starters in the past, but I don't know if they were projected to start this year or not.

UofM is lucky if they win 2 games this year, IT WILL BE AMAZING! Miami of Ohio must be licking their chops right now for their chance to take down the scUM

I honestly think ND is a lock to beat Michigan next year, it just doesn't make any sense on how UM will come close to scoring any points.

after last year, i can't say anything is a lock.

michigan will have two games to get warmed up before they play ND. the first against Utah should prove difficult for an inexperienced team playing it's first game with a brand new offense. But Utah is no D-1 powerhouse. but then they play Miami of Ohio.

Ok course the UM fans think they will win 8-9 games this year (Sounds familiar). I'm smelling disaster, a season like we had last year.

Thanks for the update ND=NC

Calabrese will be Irish if we don't dally on recruiting...he is a must have for our future plans to win the national championship...like in 09 or 10 at the latest. Young also appears to have all the skills to continue the skills at running back.

Another update from one of the attendees

Adam Citko-He loved his trip to South Bend and said academics are his #1 priority. He grew up a ND fan and basically said if we offer he'll be Irish

ND=NC is Calabrese pretty much a lock for ND? That is basically what I have gathered following his recruitment.

I wouldn't say a lock. I think we need to keep the pressure up. I worry about him traveling to Gainsville because I know Will Hill is his work out buddy and is already in his ear. Plus you never know what kind of stunts UM will pull. Also he has a visit w/PSU this weekend. We do lead, thats why Ithink we need an in home.

I am of the paranoid persuation. i can see all of the success we had last year and realize much of it was becasue the staff never stopped the recruiting, even with those that were locks, or even strong commits. That allowed us to identify OH going south as early as we did and did not allow it to be a recruiting day surprise like the year before.

I like this staff and have faith in them to keep the pressure on all those they are looking at. FWIW.

This weekend Dorien Bell, Corey Brown, and Colin Rodkey will be visiting. I don't think we sit well with anyone of them right now. Hopefully the aura of campus will win them over. I'm not getting my hopes up though

I can't say if there is any truth to it but I keep hearing as well as reading that Bell had less then stellar visits to PSU and Pitt and a good visit will go an extremely long way in winning over Bell.

My best guess is that tOSU is in the drivers seat but I like ND's chances if these kids have an open mind because not only does ND have Corwin Brown who wins these kids over but having Tenuta I think will go a long way because his defenses play quick, hard and fast and thats going to attractive to some of these top LB recruits.

I just think LB's in this class are going to be attracted to ND's defense especially the LB position because Tenuta defense or LB blitz crazy and are always in attack mode. If given a chance ND is going to get great LB talent in this class and a good start to the season will go a long way getting the elite like Bell.
