When will Irish eyes be smiling?
The 1968 national title was the last Ohio State won until 2002. The 1978 national title was the last title for USC until 2003. Notre Dame hasn't won a national title since 1988. When do you think the Irish are due for a national title?

Well, the information provided indicates that after winning national championships in the ninth year of a decade, Ohio State had to wait 34 years for its next national crown and USC had to wait 25 years.

So that would seem in a best-case scenario, the Irish won't hoist the crystal football until at least 2013.

Wonder what Omar thinks of FLAs chances- not for along time.


I still see the 2010 year as a real possibility. Time between NCs is a red herring- has nothing to do about the coaches today and the players they recruit.

i hope 09, but if not then definately by 2010 we will be competing for a title

To me, I just want to get thru 08 with developed players getting better and competitive in all games. 09 will, to me, be the year we stretch out and we have a great chance to win all games- not that we will, but that we can. and then, in 10- watch out.
