What did Terry Bowden do when coaching at Auburn?

With all the coaching vacancies I wonder why his name isn't ever thrown out there. He had some great seasons at Auburn. He's now in the booth and has been for a while. I would think that someone might try to snatch him up on the cheap.

Any ideas as to why he is not being pursued?

Word on the street was he and the president of Auburn's daughter had a fling going and it did not make the president very happy. Not sure why he has not gotten any offers. Ole Miss talked about him before they got Houston Nutt.

I don't know if you remember when Mike Gottfried got fired at Pitt. Good Catholic and everything - then the cheerleading coach and yada, yada, yada, he's gone...
