A source close to Nebraska coach Bill Callahan has confirmed that Callahan was fired Saturday morning at a meeting with interim athletic director Tom Osborne.

A news conference will be held in Lincoln at 10:30 ET.

Wow. ESPN just said Nebraska did not have a losing season in 42 years until 2005. Callahan then had his 2nd this year.
