I think it's pretty obvious that Michigan won't be considering Corwin for head coach.

Three questions -

1. Depending on who Michigan hires, does anyone think that they will seriously consider Corwin for D Coordinator?

2. Would the comments that came out from Slaughter (that Corwin would've gone to ND to play if they had offered) effect Michigan's view of him?

3. If Corwin was offered the job as D Coordinator at Michigan, do you think he would leave ND after being here only one year?

I think the timing of Carr's retirement benefits us because Corwin hasn't been here long enough to prove how well he can run the D. Michigan may not be willing to take a chance on an unproven coordinator. So far Corwin's shown himself to be an awesome recruiter and I think once he's got another year with these guys and some influx of new blood, he will show major progress with the D.

Why would any D coordinator at a major school make a lateral move like that, unless he really felt he was screwed in his current situation?

Answer to all three questions.

1. No--to move across the lines like that wouldn't make sense. I mean compared to ND future prospects...

2. Maybe--I would have a hard time believing that they would care too much about that statement even with him being an alum. But the way they reacted when Harbaugh said what he said, who knows...

3. No-- that again wouldn't make any sense. He has a top flight class coming in and the guys that have been there will have a year experience in this system. I would think that he would be excited not just for next year but the years to come.

No for the simple reason that whoever comes in at headcoach would likely get to pick his coordinators if they replace the current coaches. So unless CW leaves for Michigan, I think CB is stying put.

Sorry. I should have said since CW would never in a million years, in bizarro- alternate universes, after being tortured, and blackmailed, leave for Michigan...

1) No.
2) No.
3) He will never leave ND for another Coordinator position in College. He's at the top of the College world for Coordinators right now, so no other school would be a step up. If he proves himself oevr the next couple years, I expect him to get Head Coaching offers...OR NFL offers.

Haha you love that word don't you??

And to answer the original question, no, Corwin will not leave. After this season, with the recruits ND has coming in, Corwin would be a fool to leave an emerging ND football team on their way back to glory.

Its one of those things that look great on a resume.

It's copywritten.

Sorta like :

Go Dame @Copyright 2007 onenybrother

Corwin next stop should be HC somewhere. He WILL have success as a D-Coordinator for ND...

LLLLLLloyd got his assistants extensions through next year before retiring, so if the skunkbears want different ones they'll have some contracts to buy out, which could get rather pricey if they go for balls-for-brains Miles.
