MY, my, aren't we pickiing at everything Notre Dame these days! When you start picking at the fans and the noise being generated in the stadium, it's time for you to bail out totally and let the rest of us suffer in silence..we really don't need your bellyaching about noise and fans. And to equate noise with rich fans is total insanity.

I agree with you 52, I was at the AF game, and the crowd was into it about as much as can be expected. I'd like to see more students there, but I'm not going to make an issue out of it.

Yeah, once alums get old, they should not be allowed into the stadium. To hell with the fact that they went to school there and love the university. If they can't yell for 4 hours non-stop and behave like raving lunatics, we don't want them.

AWESOME COMMENT!!! LMAO!!

Are you kidding?? I'm a fan and I had been reading about the "not loud enough" tag the stadium has and having not been to a home game...yet, I asked the question, and a fair one it is. Not picking on the home fans, why, we have enough to pick on the team about!

Go Irish!

Did someone connect rich fans and noise somewhere in this post?

Suffering in silence is exactly what the concern is in this thread. I get it, there are exceptions--AF game, etc. But we tend to have a fair-weather crowd. Perhaps not the correct verbiage, but I feel it is my duty as a ticket-holder, my job, to cheer loudly to support our team on the field. We have no home field advantage right now, and there are many factors. I think crowd noise, or consistent lack of, is a fair criticism.

Isn't this the venue where passionate Domer Homers are SUPPOSED to bellyache about any and all things Irish? Sign me up for sarcastic retorts, but just don't get nasty. We're all loyal ND fans (and alums) too.

Maybe older fans (22-102) are a truer fans. They pay for the ticket and watch the game in front of them. They apparently don't boo too loud or make spectacles of themselves. I lost my spectacles last night and couldn't see all day, thus my late sign in.

Maybe games have not been that exciting. No need to drum up fake support. I imagine TV timeouts might kill momentum too. I am able to wash dishes, kick the dog, apologize to my neighbor, and stare at the "hot or not" thread between commercials.

Wow, I'm over it, I was just stating facts and everybody starts ripping me a new one...So I'm done. Dang, I wish our players had this much fight on the field...Our fanbase needs a win in the worst case cuz I brought this same topic up last season and everybody agreed and now a lot of people are acting like 2 year olds and belly aching about the truth..Sorry its reality. We have a more older crowd than all of the other power teams. My dad goes too and he's an alum so its not like I'm blaming anybody. Can't we just come to grips with this and move on?
