I could use a couple of pointers.

I'm coming to South Bend for the first time ever, where do a stranger go to find a nice warm up party before the Duke game, and even more important, where do I go after the game, I need to find a hotel in the same area as where I will end up during the night, don't want to wander to far after a couple of drinks.

Could also use a place before the Hockey game friday.

A bunch of IE guys are meeting in front of the Joyce Center (basketball stadium) at 1:00. I'm sure IrishFuzzy would welcome you at his tailgate as well.

The thing in front of the Joyce is before the Air Force game, not the Duke game.

Here, hopefully this guide will help you find some things to do, and the Visitors Bureau link at the bottom should give you a list of hotels and resturaunts, but it might be hard trying to find a hotel this late. The whole are usually sells out kind of early on gameday weekends.
