I know he's a 5th year Sr., but I think either JA, or RH are better goal line backs than TT. If you want to try somehting different maybe go with Luke Schmit and see what he can do.

I think the Defense has played ok...it's that Joe Brockington has missed about 6 tackles so far, which has consistently torched the defense. Put in Toryan Smith already!

Remember the Navy offense is going to move the ball. I think it is more important that our offense be able to hold the ball and score points. The D came up big with a turnover, the offense didn't conver it though.

Close enough. They got 1 1/2 and they got completely screwed the year the year that OU made it into the Sugar Bowl over them.

And I can't believe the way he tucks the ball in to run 10 yards deep in the pocket. He shuts himself off from pulling up and throwing if something opens up.

Brockington looks really slow pursuing to the outside. ND's linebackers should be as fast as Navy's backs.

Navy has 158 rushing yards at the half ... that really isn't too bad. A big part of that, of course, is the fact that they had only two full possessions.

IMO the biggest thing hurting the offense is Sharpley's inaccuracy.

I think you're right. He's made some nice plays, and almost always seems to be there with a chance to bring the guy down, but he's missed a lot of tackles. Whether it's speed (getting beat to the outside) or technique (not wrapping up), he's having a bit of a tough day.

1-2 passing, 14 yards for ND

Time of possession: ND 15:51, Navy 14:09

ND: 4-8 on 3d down, 3-4 on 4th
Navy: 5-7 on 3d, 1-2 on 4th

Add in the fact that Tate nearly fumbled that ball away and that the clock nearly ran out on that last drive, and we're lucky to be this close. The offensive line has opened up some holes, but downfield blocking has been only so-so, and either the receivers haven't been getting open or Sharpley hasn't been finding them. We need some big plays that aren't just AA's kickoff returns.

14 minute drive. Notre Dame has to do the same fucking thing to navy otherwise the defense is going to get worn out and possibly lose this game. This is just a pathetic display of defense. I'm kinda worried here.
