Justin Tuck was expected to ultimately replace Michael Strahan at left defensive end for the Giants. No one imagined that day could arrive so soon. Strahan continues to sit out training camp and mull retirement. The Giants continue to ponder ways to replace him. And Plan A is Tuck, a beefy, soft-spoken 24-year-old whose perfect day would be sitting on the porch in the no-stoplight town of Kellyton, Ala., playing dominoes and cards. Tuck may be the un-Strahan — quiet and unheralded, firmly in the good graces of the Giants. The Giants realize that they are a better team if Strahan rejoins them. But they also believe they could do worse than having Tuck replace him, even if it is this season. -- NY Times
