There was a small thing on sportscenter this morning about it, they were talking about trying to take away wins and the national championship. Honestly, i would like to see them be punished by taking recruits away, just my opinion.

I seriously doubt anything will come of this other than Bush possibly losing the Heisman.

I just don't see the NCAA taking a stand.

NCAA can't take away the Heisman, only the Downtown Athletic Club can make that call. It should be taken away IMHO.

Yeah, put them on post season suspension. Isn't that what they did to Alabama a few years back?? Or something to that affect? It would hurt their recruiting for years like it did bama. I'm not familiar with what happened to bama, I just remember it being a big deal.

You may be right, I don't know the intricacies of how the awarding of the Heisman occurrs. But I gotta believe the Downtown Athletic Club or whoever has the power to give and take it away would not want to have an "ineligible" player among the list of recipients, and would probably take it away.

from this article: Bush faces suit; NCAA next - NCAA Football - Yahoo! Sports
Per the language on the Heisman ballot, any winner of the award "must be in compliance with the bylaws defining an NCAA student-athlete."

Taking away the Heisman would just be a technicality. He still would have "won" it. Just like if they were to vacate USC's wins, they still won those games.

They need to hit them, and hit them hard. Take away scholarships for 3 or 4 years and take away bowl eligibility as well.

EDIT: That being said, I really don't see the NCAA doing a damn thing about it. But then again, you never know, now that USC is no longer the Patriots of CFB.

Burn the Poodle at the stake. Is that asking too much? If so, take away 10 scholarships a year for the next 20 years. That will teach em.

Nah...I want the Poodle on the sidelines when ND is up 38-0 in the future just so Charlie or whoever the coach is can challenge a meaningless first down or run fake punts in blowout wins....tossing the Poodle to the pound won't do at all! He must first pay his pound of flesh and then may be set free into the wild...

I heard rumors that the agent in the bush case is supposed to meet with the NCAA, is there any truth to this?

can someone post the new reggie bush commercial where he says he's never been given anything, he's had to earn it. I love the irony of that commercial.

If it is proven that Bush took money, gifts IMO i think he should lose everything that was gained those 2 years in question. USC should also be held accountable including the loss of the NC... Bush knew right from wrong but he chose the get rich now plan.. It needs to be shown that it comes with a cost if you don't follow the rules.

To expand upon that a little. It would be nearly impossible for old petey not to know about it. Therefore he made a poor choice by accepting it. Hopefully it's time to pay the Piper-Peter.
