This is extreamly early, but here the first edition anyway. If you notice they're not all ranked within the top 100. The five stars are listed first in aphebetical order, followed by the four stars that fill out the 100 which are also listed in aphebetical order.

Here's the players who have Notre Dame listed as a team of interst in their profile.

John Simon (OH) DT 6'3" 250
Joshua Adams (MA) WR 6'4" 200
Travis Brown (CA) LB 6'1" 210
Michael Campanaro (MD) CB 5'9" `73
John Michael Davis (CA) LB 6'0.5 220
Morgan Newton (IL) QB 6'5" 205
Xavier Nixon (NC) OT 6'6" 285
Reuben Randle (LA) WR 6'3" 195
Eric Shrive (PA) OT 6'7" 280
Vondrae Tostenson (NE) WR 6'4" 205

These following players are on the Top 100 but have ND listed in their profile on Rivals, but not Scout. As an aside, I find the list of teams of interest on Rivals to be more accurate.

Matt Barkley QB (CA) 6'3" 217
Bryce Brown RB (KS) 6'0" 212
Chris Bonds DE (SC) 6'3" 250
Larry Caper RB (MI) 5'11" 210
John Martinez OG (UT) 6'3" 250

I honestly don't think that's really the best way to guague wether or not there's any chance there for ND, especially Scout's national database. I'm not saying it's never right, but it can be wrong quite often. For instance there are guys that have visited ND, wanted to, or will be that aren't on either of those lists.

I actually think Dayne Crist has Tebow like mobility, but with a more accurate arm. I'm not saying he'll be better, but the potentail is there to be just as good.

I've heard dayne has great mobility, but i anticipate dayne to stay in the pocket alot, because all i've heard about him is great things. The offense isn't going to miss a beat when Jimmy graduates, because Dayne will be there ready to challenge for the Heisman. Yes i'm that damn optimistic. Regarding the 09 class, lets hope we land some key defensive lineman and defensive backs.

Sure, but it's a start with there not being that much info out there for the 2009 class yet. And being listed means the player might at least be worth keeping an eye on. If you have a more accurate list of who out of that top 100 has interest in ND, I'd honestly be intersted to read it.:)

Crist has very good mobility but it's not at the level Tebow's. I think Crist is natural leader that draws in people/player like Tebow but I think he's way ahead of Tebow as a thrower at the same age.

I agree, but his mobility isn't that far off from Tebow. I've been quite impressed with his mobility in the 3 or so games I've watched him play this season.

good thing for us a QB's job involves throwing the ball so I think crist has more potential to become a better QB in college and the pros

This is a little off topic but ive been thinking about it for a while. Why does CW take so many TE's i know they're a big part of his offense but he's gotten about 6 since he came to ND I think that's a little excessive but maybe i'm wrong

He likes to go in a 2-1-2-1 pattern with TEs because many of his formations require 2 or 3 TEs, and if you want 2 or 3 high quality players on the field at one time then you need a bigger pool to pick from. Remember that, some will transfer, some may get injuried, some of the younger guys might just not be ready to play at a high level yet, and some might never pan out to liove up to their potential.
