Ethan Johnson was originally scheduled to visit this weekend as well, but I haven't heard anything about it recently so given his injury I'm not sure if he'll be making the trip or not.

From what I can tell Ethan will still be making his official visit to SB this weekend.

What is the point of making an "official" after verbally committing? The school is paying for those anyway right?

Because on an official the flight, food, hotel, etc. can all be paid for by the school. The recruit or their family has to pay for everything on an unofficial. They want to come visit the school they are going to without any cost.

Kyle Rudolph will also be there in an unoffical manner.. I know because he is staying where I would have been staying had he not been visiting!

I guess I'll give him a pass this time.

The point behind official visits after verbal commitment is to sink in the deal. Until a contract is signed, you close, close, close.

BC game not a good one to showcase ND.
Watching ND get blown out by a better football program in a better locale with a strong school is asking for trouble. Charlie's Patriots rings are yesterday's news and Jags is riding high at #4.
Navy, Air Force, or Duke much better weekends. Might even win 1 or 2 of those.

Here's my question: if (note that I said "if", not "when", since I'm by no means sure this will happen) our boys manage to upset your waitlisted asses on Saturday, will you come back here to show that you can take it as well as you can dish it? Or will we go have to root you out at whatever Fredo-loving blog or message board you frequented before you found your way over here?

Official visit is a time to bond with the team, figure out some logistics etc. We made three unofficals on our own dime before my son made his choice.

I hope we continue to play well, show improvement, not make mistakes, and give the recruits the hope that things will be alot better once the team gets some new blood.

It's a mix of info from recruiting sites, and personal info from ND studnets and staff members.
