I think with experience that is just what you will see in the near future w/ Neal & Smith...but at this point in time Ryan is the more experienced player and CB wouldn't even think about having him in if his production didn't warrant it. I hear a rumor that a few recruits we've got lined up for next year a pretty good on the edge...?.... It should be a very bright future at ND :)

A couple weeks ago Weis said Neal and Smith were not ready to play against the run. Obviously neal started so Weis feels he is ready now, I am hoping Smith gets ready to play against the run soon so he can start.

I agree, if he can't play against the run he shouldn't start. But by watching some of the running situations he has been in he hasn't done any worse than Ryan in my opinion, but obviously has more speed coming off the edge.

I believe, Flemming is the Stud that is ready to come off the edge.

Filer, MAC, Poz I believe are inside.

Why is John Ryan starting?

I hope when Wenger is healthy he gets a good amount of reps at center to get ready for next year.

As the year moves on, whoever is taking over for Zibby next year (brown) needs to get some serious real time game reps.

This season is only a full loss if we don't drastically improve and get ready for next year.

How can you NOT play a guy named John Ryan, at an Irish Catholic school?

Oh, and more Paddy Mullen, too!!!
