Have you ever played football 88. Maybe in your mind you could blame CW for the fumbles, penelties, missed tackles etc...... but his game plan is really not that bad this week. The players just aren't executing.

Like a said in the recruiting profiles. A lot of the 08 class players will start next year. IF Floyd comes to ND, he WILL start.

We continue to show the occasional glimmer of hope repeatedly followed by ripping our ears off and sticking them up our backside so we can hear ourselves kick our own ass.

Missed tackles and Fumbles are practiced to PREVENT them. Who runs the practices again? I believe the coaches do. Am I right on that one? Obviously the coaching isnt good enough.

Proper coaching can cut down on all these mistakes. Reps at practice. Harping on correcting the stupid mental mistakes. Reps Reps Reps. Doesn't seem to be happening. I agree with 88.

Defemse still gives up long yardage - can't come through when needed.

Defense can't come through when needed? And how many field goals did Purdue have to settle for after we handed them the ball in front of our goal line?

This defense is by no means a bunch of world-beaters, but lay the fuck off. Most of the points scored on them this year have been on drives where the opposing offense was handed the ball in our territory. When your offense and special teams repeatedly paints your D into a corner, and tops it off by going 3-and-out all the time, you're going to give up points no matter how good your D is.

If our D is so horrible Purdue would be at about 40 points right now at halftime. If our offense didn't keep telling our D to "roll over and take it like a man" then this game would be a helluva lot closer.

The defense is by no means perfect and has given up some big plays, but it's the ineptitude and mistakes on offense that are putting the final nails in the coffin.

3rd and 29.

Every game they let the other team have it in these situations.

Agree with the rest of your post. I still think the D line is very good.

Look at that...Ive said all year long to put Kamara in and look what happens. Why put 5'8players in there when we have 6'4" WRs that can shield that defender with their body? Doesnt make sense to me. But what do I know?

Weis is obviously just figuring it out.

Well, duh. It's obvious that you don't put those guys in because the guys we've had on the field so far have been so outstanding.
