You know, the first time I heard that song, I kinda of thought, "You've got to be kidding me! The Notre Dame theme song?!!!!"

But I tell you what, ANY time I get in the stadium and hear that song during pre-game, I have to bow my head so others can't see me weep like a girl.

It'll be sweet to hear that song on the highlight package of our win over SC this year....(get it going patdushore!)

The part that always gets me...

"...and there's a magic in the sound of their name...here come the Irish of Notre Dame..."

That song is done by an Irish Folk Band named The Corrs. I had the privelege of seeing them in concert in Indianapolis last year. The band never takes or plays requests, I laid a napkin on the stage with the words "PLEASE? HERE COME THE IRISH" FOR A DIEHARD NOTRE DAME FAN!" With GREAT surprise, they sang it and I had GOOOOOOSE BUMPS! After the set, the singer came to me and asked me my "illness" I said "WHAT!!" Then she re-read the napkin and laughed and said she thought the napkin read "DIEING ND FAN" LOL!
EVERY tailgate I host now has that song playing in the background with sounds from the Notre Dame Marchign Band I have recorded as well on the CD!
GOOOO IRISH!

I swear i cried when i heard that for the first time. and on a trip in Santiago Chile I was sitting in a cafe and for some totally bizarre reason, it was played over their soundsystem. Never found out why, no one spoke English
