I know no one wants to hear it but, bonehead plays, penalties and an inefficient offense are the death of this team....while we're not getting killed in time of posession our defense clearly looks like they're getting tired...which is too bad because they had another great start to the game.

Maybe it is time to look further down the depth chart and see if there is anyone who wants to make a play.

Claussen is running for his life....guess being down by 7 isn't so bad (cept our offense has done dick for 2 quarters). Aggravates me the way ND has shot itself in the foot so many times.

Weis just said as he left the field: "We got to give him [Clausen] a little more protection." Wow, that's what they must pay him the millions for.

8 penalties to none. Get rid of the penalties, try something "unpredictable" on offense, bench Thomas, and get Aldridge and Allen the ball. Its still only 14-7. It's just disappointing having so many mistakes and penalties.

Gotta get the running game going, so they can use some play action. Play calling is way too predictable. Block someone so we can throw the ball down the field.

PLEASE no more Thomas.......I'm beginning to think Quinn was the genius behind the offense.

I agree with the comment about Duncan, he's looked pretty bad so far, as well as Thomas. It would be nice to see some deep passes as well.

The only thing keeping us in this game is that PSU's offense isn't much better than ours.

It's kind of shocking how conservative Weis has been today ... Travis Thomas is the predictable choice (who can't break a run) & he's keeping the leash on Clausen. He's going to have to start letting Clausen throw as ND falls farther behind and the running game goes nowhere.

getting the game back to 1 score is a pretty hollow victory considering that you couldn't punch it in from the 7 (IOW, blowing a golden opportunity).

Nice job #27....it's always smart to try and rip the ball out of the RB's hands while you're 2 yards deep in the end zone! nah, don't get involved in the play...let it come to you.

It was no worse than ND's 3rd down play at the PSU goal line. That PSU defender had his hands all over the ND receiver's back. No call though for some reason.

Yeah, that was big. I'm really suprised they didn't try to use JA in that situation. He hasn't really been in the game at all.
