I'd say McKnight and Walker have a very good chance. And with the others, I think it's hard to really put a percentage on their chances. It depends on a lot of things.

McKnight might have a good chance. Walker's chances are probably less than 25%.

Walker might make the team, but I wouldn't expect much play time.

The Bears already have Cedric Benson, Adrian Peterson (who they are not getting rid of because of his play and special teams), and they drafted Garrett Wolf in the third round this year. I don't see room for Walker on the roster.

I think DW has a shot to beat out Wolf. Who knows.

Tonight it was reported on WNDU (SB's NBC) that Darius did not sign with the Bears as it was first reported that they only have a verbal agreement and Daruius is still trying to work out the best offer he can with Chicago.

Here's just a little more on that situation.

Focus on 'O,' Olsen
One Rosenhaus client will not be present this weekend. Notre Dame running back Darius Walker, who left school a year early only to go undrafted, has backed out on a verbal agreement to sign a free-agent contract with the Bears. His chances were not good as the Bears will keep only three running backs, and he wasn't likely to beat out Wolfe unless there was an injury.

IMO he should have tried to sign with Indy. Here is their current roster of RB's.

Name - POS - HT - WT - YR - College - Aquired

Lawton, Luke - RB - 6-0 - 240 - 1 - McNeese State - UFA-07
Dawson, Clifton - RB - 5-10 - 212 - R - Harvard - UFA-07
Addai, Joseph - RB - 5-11 - 214 - 2 - LSU - D1 - 06
Dorsey, DeDe - RB - 5-11 - 196 - 2 - Lindenwood - W-06 (CIN)
Keith, Kenton - RB - 5-11 - 210 - 1 - New Mexico State - UFA-07

Yeah, I just read where contract talks fell thru. I wonder what kind of impact having Drew Rosenhaus as an agent had on the negotiations? He's a good kid, but lacks the skills of a featured back in the NFL. that being said, he is surely talented enough to be a late draft pick or FA pick up who could contribute to a team for a few years as a 2nd or 3rd back. His versatility as a shifty runner, pass catcher & pass blocker make him worth taking a chance on. Not saying he'd last long, but maybe long enuf to earn an NFL pension.

This is sad and I feel bad for him. In the sugar bowl he looked good and having over 100 yards in the 1st half was great and I thought that would get him in the NFL. The only thing I can see the NFL having a problem with was his size. It looks like the NFL are moving to runningbacks that are bigger, but Walker should have been drafted in at less the 3rd round. Hopefully he will get his foot in the door to show everyone what he can do. Why did his dad say no comment when asked if CW did enough to help DW get drafted is there something I'm missing here?

In case you didn't bother to click on it, this just hit our little news ticker:

Bengals' moves: Santucci returns; Chatman released

From Cincinnati to Indianapolis back to Cincinnati again, it's been a roller coaster week for center Dan Santucci.

The Bengals reacquired their rookie seventh-round draft pick on Friday, signing him off the Indianapolis Colts practice squad.

The 6-foot-4, 304 pounder from Notre Dame played in all four Bengals preseason games, survived final cuts last Saturday only to get waived on Sunday. He then signed with the Colts' practice squad before being re-signed to the Bengals' 53-man roster on Friday.

To make room for Santucci, the Bengals terminated the contract of wide receiver Antonio Chatman, releasing him to free agency.

So he made the roster - good for him!

I could see DW with Indy, with as much as Peyton throws the ball, they could always use RB's in there that can catch hte ball as well as block, and we all know DW can do both of those and do them well.

That would be a nice fit, but Addai has proven to be more than adept at receiving and blocking; that and he is also explosive, powerful, and...oh ...fast. I hate to say it, but I don't think DW will ever see a snap in an NFL game. Hopefully someone will put him on their NFL Europa team.

yeah, DW would be the NFL europe MVP because he'd be the only player in the league which doesn't exist anymore.
