RIP, Harry Oliver

I am saddened by the passing of Harry Oliver. I was in attendance at the 1980 Michigan game, when Oliver kicked a 51 yard FG at the final gun to win the game. I will never forget it.

Anybody who kicks a game winner against michigan is my hero. I dont care who he plays for. But Harry Oliver will be missed. Rest In Peace my friend.

RIP. a little before my time, but i've heard the radio call. somehow i missed that he was from Cincinnati.

I still recall a post-game quote by Butch Woolfolk (who was seen in the famous picture rushing in to block the attempt): "Man that guy's gonna have all the women he wants tonight." Oliver replied, "The only woman I care about tonight is on that Dome."
