Spring Football Festival

In some of the Blue Gold game stuff, I saw it listed as a 'festival.' I was wondering what that meant and whether there would be cotton candy and a tilt-a-whirl set up on south quad. Anybody on campus know what's going on besides the game?

Here's all I could find:

Other weekend events at Notre Dame include:
  • Baseball vs. West Virginia - Friday, April 20 at 6:05 p.m.; Saturday, April 21 at 3:05 p.m.; Sunday, April 22 at 1:05 p.m. Tickets are required to each game and are currently on sale. Show your Blue-Gold Football Game ticket and get in free on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Softball vs. Louisville - Saturday, April 21 at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
  • Softball vs. South Florida - Sunday, April 22 at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
  • Men's Lacrosse vs. Lehigh - Saturday, April 21 at 12:00 p.m.
  • Women's Lacrosse vs. Ohio State - Saturday, April 21 at 3:00 p.m.
  • Fan Fest in the Joyce Center South Parking Lot - Saturday, April 21 from 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
  • Football Alumni Flag Football Game in Notre Dame Stadium - Saturday, April 21 at 11:30 a.m. (A ticket to the Blue-Gold Game is required to attend)
  • The Notre Dame Club of St. Joseph Valley will hold a silent auction of sports memorabilia in the Joyce Center Fieldhouse, in conjunction with the VIP Brunch.

No as it really cuts into the tailgating and the visit to the Grotto. We as a family have traditions and watching a bunch of 40 something's isn't a part of it. :)

My mom (works at ND) forwarded this email to me about "The Shirt" unveiling event:

To All Faculty and Staff Members:

This Friday, April 20, at 6:00 PM, The Shirt 2007 will be unveiled in
front of the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore. Be there to be among the
first to see the latest edition in the 18-year history of The Shirt.

Festivities begin at 5:00 PM. There will be inflatable games for
children and free food (while supplies last), so bring your families!
There will also be an appearance by Chuck Lennon, and performances by
the ND Cheerleaders, Pom Squad, Glee Club, and Band. In addition,
the Johnsonville Big Taste Grill, a 64-foot semi-trailer grill, will
be roaring in front of the Bookstore, cooking 2,000 FREE bratwursts.
FREE Coke and chips will also be provided (while supplies last).

Come down to the Bookstore for free food, fun, and a first-chance
look at The Shirt 2007.

Go Irish. Wear The Shirt.
