This comes after landing a total of five of Scout's Top 100 last year (Clausen 5* #4, Ragone 4* #55, Kamara 4* #63, Hughes 4* #72, Gray 4* #73), only one of whom was a defensive player -- again, looks like a great start to me!

While I'm sure that IUB will soon have a MUCH more detailed analysis up, here's where a few of other other top targets stand:

- Hale is ranked #15 overall, 5*
- Filer #32 overall, 4*
- Floyd #33 overall, 4*
- Fleming #49 overall, 4*
- Sweat #52 overall, 4*
- Crist #66 overall, 4*

I don't see ratings on any of our other guys. Again, it's nice to see so many of our top targets be in the defensive front seven.

Oh and FYI, Stoneburner got only four stars to Rudolph's five, and is ranked #68 overall.

Wow, this class is looking very impressive so far. Its good to see that it only took Charlie one year to really understand college football recruiting. This class clearly shows an upward movement in ND football.

Don't worry this list will change a few times between now and signing day. It is nice to see our recruits to get the stars they should get.

I like Rudolph but Scout won't keep him at five stars for the entire recruiting season. Not that he doesn't deserve it.

Anyone in the top 50 right now will be 5* the next time they update the list. So anyone in the top 50 on that list will be 5* on May 15.
