The headline of the article says it all: “Top 32: JaMarcus at No. 20? Crazy, but not that crazy.”
Pete Prisco at CBS Sportsline.com has Brady Quinn as the #3 player available in the draft, and has dropped JaMarcus Russell down to #20. It's nice to see that the media fueled Russell hysteria has calmed down, and that the professional talent evaluators in the NFL have cut through the media's anti-Irish slant to recognize that BQ is the best QB prospect in the draft, even if he is not the first one selected. Prisco’s opinion of Brady Quinn: “After observing him at the combine, I'm convinced I'm right that he's the best quarterback in this draft. He's next in the Tom Brady-Peyton Manning class.” That is serious high praise when you compare BQ with Brady & Manning. Is this really a media guy talking about a Notre Dame football player? It just goes to show how impressive Quinn is, both with his athletic skills, and his personal demeanor.
BTW, Prisco's listing is not a mock draft, it's just his opinion of the Top 32 players, so he is not neccessarily implying that the Raiders will not take Russell.
