Cwyner huge for LB and DB recruiting

Cwyner will be a Marcus Spears type player, from the Dallas Cowboys and LSU. He is a HUGE pick up at 6-4 280 (as only a junior). Like Spears he will be playing DE, crashing the line and rushing, probably stunting with the OLB/DE rushers used in the 3-4. It will help in recruiting of linebackers because he will be able to eat up blockers keeping OL from locking onto the LB's and they will make big plays. If you are an LB your dream is to play behind a good line in the 3-4, you will running free and making hits. DB's coverage will be shorter in time because of the blitz packages that can be thrown in and safety's are the interceptiona and playmaking machines. Harrison Smith with his speed and Sergio Brown with his will benefit greatly with interceptions of lame duck mistimed passes. IF I WERE BEACHUM, FILER, MCDONALD, POZ, MCARTHEY, WILL HILL, ETC. i would be itching to play with ND if the line is built, becasue DAMN

I agree, and i think your points go much farther than you presented. The tides are changing at ND, we are bringing in bigger, faster, stronger players. Our O-line is going to be getting better, therefore elite running backs will want to run behind them. Our D-line is getting bigger and stronger, therefore LBs and DBs will flock to ND because it will only in turn make them look much better. We are in the midst of a complete turn around here at ND and the big talent and names that we have brought in , in a relatively short amount of time is proof that we are on the right track. Pick ups like Cwyner will only attract more big stars as ND will soon become the Powerhouse it once was.
