Here is the link to the complete announcement from the Big East.

Brey seems to have Coach of the Year locked up, and Scottie Reynolds of Villanova has to have Rookie of the Year locked up, as he was the only Freshman to make one of the All-Conference teams. Reynolds was selected to the 2nd team, last year the only freshman on the All-Conference teams was Dominic James of Marquette with Honorable Mention. James is first team All-Big East this year.

Player of the year is wide open with 5 likely final candidates, Aaron Gray of Pitt, Jeff Green & Roy Hibbert of Georgetown, Demetris Nichols of Syracuse, & Herbert Hill of Providence.

Notre Dame with 4 tied with Georgetown for the most players named to the Big East teams. Pretty impressive for a squad picked in the pre-season to finish 11th in the Big East, and another reason why Brey should have no problem winning Coach of the Year, especially since it is voted on by his Big East coaching peers, and not the media.

Yep, that's great for everyone. I never, EVER thought I would say this, but Brey has done a nice job this year (pending the postseason).

That is great to see all of those guys rewarded. I knew my boy Tory could do it if he just got a chance. It was unfortunate the way he got a chance to play, but he took advantage of it. Harangody was definately a dominant force inside. Carter and Falls had great years and I was glad to see them get noticed. Hopefully they can keep it going in the tournament.
