I cant link to it because it is pay info for some reason, heard it on ESPN radio last night that he is projected #23 to KC and that others had him at #29.

To me it seems like yet another slap at ND - a caller phoned in and said that he thinks the Browns take him at #3 and the idiot ass ESPN host said "dont they have more pressing needs"

Yeah, Charlie Frye is an untouchable for that team. More dooshbaggery in force.

How do you go from a top 3 pick to #23? That makes no sense at all... Unless it comes out that Brady was actually using a prosthetic arm that was hand-crafted on Mars... and the Martians no longer manufactuer said arm anymore...

I don't think he would fall that far, but a Lienart-esq fall isn't out of the question. Some teams are set at qb, and some might go in a different direction. I really don't want him to go to Oakland, and the further you drop the better team you go to.

It would be flat out awesome to see him go to the Browns. For him and his family especially.

ESPN's own guru Kiper also has Quinn #3. He has the same Top 4 as nfldraftcountdown.com except Kiper has C. Johnson 1st, and Russell 4th.

No way he falls that far. I agree he will go to Clevland. Espn second favorite sport is ND bashing.

To me, even more goofy is the sudden stock spike of Jamarcus Russel to #1 pick on many boards......are they basing the rise on a performance vs the ND defense in the Sugar?

I wouldnt mind seeing brady go to a team like the chiefs. Think of how quickly he could be on a winning team in a good organization. That being said i dont see how he could fall out of the top 5.

Well, BQ sure picked a bad day to lay an egg. I do think that perfromance cost him some money. That said, a fall to 29th is probably a little extreme.

I could see him dropping to the 8-10 slot and wind up at Houston, Miami, or Atlanta.

Its called team needs. If a team drafting 1-22 doesnot need a QB they should not take them. simple. very simple. hence why Leinart slid to #10 last year.

I would not think so bankacct. He has been a steady performer for two grueling SEC seasons, he is tough, huge, hard to tackle, has a big arm. in other words lots of physical tangibles that will come out real good in the combines. Down side was the separated shoulderduringthe SEC Champ game last year.

Down here he is a big name and it really is no surprise that he would be drafted high. As a junior though....? No answer for that.

The hell with that. I'd be happy for me and my family. Only 7 minutes away from the stadium to go watch him. :D

troy smith's heisman campaign began with his bowl performance against ND. despite ND's 'irrelevance' to college football, a lot of teams and players are measured by their performances against them.

Im not saying Russell isnt a 1st rounder or anything but now they have him at #1??? he wasnt in the first round of all these mocks up until this month......

seems to me they are basing it on the Sugar performance.......if good showings vs the ND defense gets you that much draft stock, where is the Air Force QB projected? ;)

Somebody said Russell can throw a ball through goal post uprights from the 50 yard line on his knees. Thats the biggest bullshit Ive ever heard - who did he get to start that rumor for him? 60+ yard pass from your knees? No legs involved.......yeah. sure.

sporting news? lol, that is THE WORST sporting journalism site in the nation. the worst. they absolutely loathe all things ND. It only makes them look like the idiots that they are when Quinn gets drafted high and their entire mock draft is shot.

yeah but theyre getting what they sought in the beginning - make a Notre Dame guy expected to be a high draft pick a low draft pick so the ND masses flock to read and publicize us.

They do the same stuff with Duke basketball for the same purpose

You are telling me that 22 teams don't need a better QB, or that Quinn doesn't have a better upside than some of them? I find that very hard to believe.

Also, then why do you label someone top 5 prior to this? That doesn't make any sense. If "draft experts" knew that none of the first 22 teams needed a QB, then why was Quinn even talked about as the top 3 pick for so long. It doesn't make any sense.

I know what team needs are. Also, there is a big difference between 10th and 23rd. Dropping to 10-13 I could understand. Dropping to 23-25 makes no sense whatsoever.

I'd love to see Quinn come to Cleveland. I don't think Frye is that bad, but he shouldn't be a #1. Frye has been running for his life the last 2 years. Hopefully, if Brady comes to Cleveland, we can give him 3 seconds to throw the ball

I just checked the 1st round mock draft and I don't think that there is 1 5 star recruit (based on Rivals rankings) in the first round. There are several 2 stars and at least 5 players that switched positions. This just shows how much bullsh@# the recruiting rankings are.

McShay from Scouts Inc has him going #2 in his mock draft, and Kiper has him going #4.

I think that guys an idiot who hates ND, but really, Quinn falling a bit is a good thing in the long run I think. I'd rather him be on a team where he has a chance to compete... maybe even be the back up for one season as with Carson Palmer. It would help him out a lot I think.

and as for the money, maybe it cost him in the immediate future, but by his next contract, one or two games in college won't mean anything.

If that is what we are basing draft status on, Michael Bishop from KSU would have been the greatest QB ever.

Kyle Boller did the same thing during his pro day, how is his career going?

Problem with Bishop was that it was 'unintentional', and would happen when the team was trying to run a 10yd in route!!!
