From the UHND board:

There are about 36 Juniors visiting tomorrow, January 27th,
at South Bend.

One Jr. attending has already been offered * (may be others):
*Kyle Rudolph, TE, 6-7, 4.70, Elder HS (Cincinnati, OH).

There are two attending from Dublin Coffman HS (Dublin, OH):
...OT, Mike Adams, 6-6, 300, Dublin Coffman HS (Dublin, OH)
...WR, Jacob Stoneburner, 6-5, 215, 4.53, Dublin Coffman HS (Dublin, OH)

Four linebackers who are outstanding prospects IMO:
...LB, David Posluszny, 6-0, 206, 4.62, GP 3.5, Hopewell HS (Aliquippa, PA)
...LB, Nick Clancy, 6-3, 210, Joliet Catholic HS (Joliet/ Chicago, IL)
...LB, Andrew Sweat, 6-2, 225, 4.55, Trinity HS (Washington, PA)
...LB, Vincent Williams, 6-2, 215, 4.60, Grand Ridge HS (FL) – offered by Florida NC

A true Academic Defensive Tackle with excellent grades and has ACT score of 27:
...DT, Sean Cwynar, 6-4, 280, GP 4.0, Marian Central HS (Woodstock, IL)

Corner with speed:

...CB, Johnny Adams, 6-1, 170, 4.40, Buchtel HS (Akron, OH)

This list of eight would be a start.
Six of these are Corwin's guys (Defensive prospects).

Looks good to me.

From what I have read is that Adams OT from Dublin Oh is probably going to OSU. Don't like using the word lock, but it has been used on some buckeye sites

As I've been saying in other posts I have no worries at all when it comes to the offense, I know Charlie and Co. will get what they need.

The defense is a major concern and Corwin Brown is going to have to work his magic because he's been put in between a rock and a hard place and will need to get an absolute tone of very, very good LB's in '08 and some of them need to be the elite of the elite because they are going to be needed very early in there Irish career. DT's arel still a major concern and with losing out on Ben Martin and losing Justin Trattou is making the DE amjor concern as well and they will need plenty in this next class as well and they going to need to add top talent there as well not just very good talent. What surprising is that the last couple of classes ND's done pretty good with the DB recruiting and IMO will be the least of ND's concerns with this next class.

IMO the '08 recruiting class needs to be 70% defense. Which I don't think we will be much of a problem ND's done a good job recruiting on the offensive side of the ball and don't really need to add much depth and can concentrate on less and just target the players they thing are elite and good fits.

Nick Clancy is from my Alma Mater, I'll have to check out a few games this year and report back on him. Notre Dame is always hit and miss with Joliet Catholic guys

hits - Tom Thayer, Mike Goolsby

miss - Mike Alstott

Yeah alstott was a big miss. Probably one of the best pro fullbacks ever.

yeah, tell me ND couldnt have used him in the mid 90's? Oh, he was a "2 star recruit" - lol

He would have 200 yards at halftime and get pulled from games as kind of a self imposed mercy rule.

Purdue was the only d-1 offer he received.

Can you say white running back.......

The Irish need to sign WR, Jacob Stoneburner, 6-5, 215, 4.53, Dublin Coffman HS (Dublin, OH). With a name like Stoneburner, he has to be a good football player! :)
