Here are the first two questions and I like the first one since I am a fans of Walls.
jim: what happened to this years frosh dbs ie walls mcneil? they disappeared as season progressed.
Jason Kelly: I wondered about that myself, Jim, especially Darrin Walls since he played a lot early. He had a rough day, I believe it was against Purdue, and Charlie Weis talked about how that can affect a kid's psyche, especially at an exposed position like cornerback, but the bottom line must be that they just didn't develop enough to contribute. A little like Terrail Lambert last year, people wondered why not, considering the secondary's problems. Walls and Raeshon McNeil will have to be the foundation for the secondary in the future, so Notre Dame will need them to make the same kind of leaps Lambert did.

John: What is the latest on the potential 5th year seniors and should we expect a starting LB trio of Brockington, T. Smith and Crum next year?
Jason Kelly: Other than John Carlson telling a Minnesota newspaper that he will be back, the information has been minimal beyond Charlie Weis saying fans will be pleased with who returns. Since we also haven't heard about potential fifth-year players leaving for the NFL, that implies that most of the eligible players, if not all, will be back.
That sounds like a reasonable starting lineup at linebacker next year. Now that Chris Donald committed to Tennessee that will be a position of concern in the future, where depth will need to be built from within.
