Air Force was a tough game, we weren't ready for the option (coaching failure) and having Harrell and Inky Johnson go down didnt help, we were lucky to get out with a W. We really didnt play poorly against PSU, we were inside the 20 going in when the fumble was returned for a TD, UT scores there and the game is pretty much in the back IMHO, but once again, we lost, no excuses to be made. That's where we're different, john, i admit to the UT failure, whereas you look through your green colored glasses and convince yourself that you're the best because of who you are

When did I fail to admit to our failures, or claim that we're the best? We got rocked by a bunch of really good teams. We have a long way back. Now go keep your own house in order, and come here and gloat when you beat us in something other than recruiting.

congrats on Jimmy, both his brothers were very efficient for us, Casey and Rick were both gutsy players. I hope this doesnt turn out to be a viable comparison in the future, but you all do remember Ron Powlus right? haha just kidding

no,no,we won the series.Wins in '04 and '05.

In your defense I'll have to admit you guys took the one before,both games in '99 and '01

the series was tied in '90 and '91,but you were only an infant back then,so you wouldn't know.

I myself was at the '78 game in which notre dame won in knoxville.bet you i've been to more games in knoxville then yourself.

LSU, Florida, Arkansas, Georgia, South Carolina(the ones you failed to mention) are better than ND's entire schedule save USC and Michigan, and UF and LSU are better than either of those teams, and we played them to within 1 score each. My memory might be foggy, but i don't think you gave USC and Michigan much of a contest

You mean the Arkansas team that lost to USC much worse than ND did; and the Georgia team that lost to Tenn by about 20, lost to Kentucky and Vandy.

We will see if Florida hangs around OSU to the tune of the same 3pt difference as Michigan did. Oh, and you're right that ND didn't give Michigan much of a contest, but ND did throttle Air Force which Tenn did not, and also hammered PSU (to whom Tenn lost by 2 scores).

Gee golly, I sure am glad you held back on those. Nothing gets me quite as upset as reading some anonymous hick talk about people he's never seen.

First off, i never claimed that material to be my own, i saw it and found it to be funny. Secondly, if the Irish played in the SEC, instead of beating up on service academies, they would have a record comperable if not worse than UT this past season.

Fourth, i was just trying to have a little fun. Most of you took it well, and in good fun, but theres the insecure few who cant take a realistic view of the state of the ND program. Believe it or not, Fellas, you arent elite yet, and theres a long way to go

Really split the series? I believe Notre Dame won both games against Tennessee, both years when Tennesssee was ranked in the top ten preseason i might add. So please don't come here and make fun of Notre Dame being ranked high, we started of at #2 and we went 10-3, you guys started off at #3 in 05 and went 5-6. Tell me whose more overrated?
