My take?

1. Ty's recruits are as awful as we thought.
2. It's gonna get worse before it gets better. Go ahead and write off 2007 right now, or at least drop your expectations to 7 or 8 wins.
3. When Weis' guys get in starting slots, we will be back
4. You gotta give Minter more time. I am not a Minter fan. But what can you do with a slow secondary and a front 4 that can't get pressure? The personnel doesn't leave him any options but to play it safe, sit back, and hope the other team screws up. Look at Mattison. He had great defenses at Michigan. Sucky defenses at ND. Now a great defense at Florida. Did he forget how to coach while at ND or is it possible he just didn't have athletes?
5. BQ? I have felt that he is not a big game QB for some time. Last night was one more piece of evidence to validate that feeling. I do thank him though for some wonderful perfromances and in representing the university well. He's gonna be a rich guy. I sincerely hope he is able to prosper on the field as well as financially. I wish him well.

But the sky is not falling. We simply need to get some talent on the field

I agree with most of that. With the exception being #4. He may not have the most talented players, but it is the adjustments, or lack of that get me. I just don't see him as a great defensive mind. Giving up 47, 44, and 41 in 3 loses is rough. That said, all we can do is wait until 07.
