None of your preference teams are realistic. Simms just signed a 2 year contract for Tampa. Pennington has at least 2 more years at NY Jets. Carolina needs a big arm, which is precisely Quinn's weakness. Minnesota, maybe, but they seem set on Tavaris Jackson and they have other pressing needs at the RB and secondary positions. St. Louis has pressing needs on defense, and Bulger has at least 2 more years. Chicago would be an excellent fit, but I don't think they need a QB right now, only a guy who can manage a game.
Detroit would end Quinn's career. Mark my words. As a person who's had the unfortuante experience of following the Lions, I can tell you that the organization will find some way to screw him up. And the recievers notwithstanding (the best is Roy Williams), Detroit has a terrible OL (Michigan alum Jeff Backus being the only exception). They can't run the ball, and every QB that's installed will face instanaeous pressure. A QB in Detroit is setup to fail because there are virtually no parts around him. What good are your recievers if your QB is getting sacked after taking only 5 steps? What good is your offense if you don't even give Kevin Jones a chance to run the ball? And most of the recievers are deep threats, so you need a guy with an arm, and Quinn does not fit that profile. I mean, you really get a good feel about how much of a waste these recievers are when Furrey (an undrafted and undersized slot recievers with some power) is your second leading reciever. Also, very few people in Michigan equate Brady Quinn with "hope" or any of that stuff.
