That is pretty funny, you can't take a trophy home on an airplane but I was able to take sissors on in my carry on the other month. That was by mistake of course. :embarrass

Holy crap, look at this. The New York Post wrote...

"Troy knows Score

Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith celebrated his Heisman Trophy by dancing in the middle of the 40/40 Club following Saturday's awards ceremony; he then paid a repeat visit to Scores East Side on Monday night. The dancers hailed Smith as a generous tipper. "He will be a great pro," Scores Girl Kendall said. "He's got it. He's a natural leader. I can tell." ... While in limbo, Allen Iverson hit Atlantic City casinos and partied with friends at Jay Z's 40/40 Club there."

How does no one mention that? How many media sources would be all over it if it was Brady Quinn? I mean... seriously...

Absolutely media sources would be all over this if it had been Brady Quinn...have you seen him dance? Anyway, I am glad that the waitress is the resident expert on scouting for the NFL...LOL.

so... Smith, who is an inner-city boy that grew up in what was practically a foster home, who should, by all means, be a very poor college student.... it noted as a generous tipper at an exclusive dance club where he competes with other stars, who must also tip very well.....

who's the booster behind this...?

Good question, he shouldn't be loaded just yet. Did he get his first NFL punt returner check already?

Something that always bothers me is the suits the guys' where at the Heisman ceremony. Those things are nice threads, and probably cost well into the thousands. Where do they get that money?

And this isn't just for Smith. I'm sorry, but just because the guy was a "generous tipper" doesn't mean a booster was lining his pocket. I don't like the Sinners just like the rest of you, but man, some of you guys take this "holier than thou" routine as far as the eye can see.

yeah, I'm a little quick to shoot the gun. you got me there. But Smith's past is hard to overcome, esp. since he grew up without much money. i was a college student on full scholarship, but i STILL had to work 30 hours a week to get by b/c my parents didn't support me financially through college... and i can tell you one thing: i couldn't afford to go to a sit-down restaurant... much less be a big tipper at a club. And, I still have vivid memories of the thousands of dollars, rolex watches, and electronics equipment stolen from A.J. Hawk's place last year. I never had anything like that... and I came from an upper-middle class family

I never said that he shouldn't go to strip clubs. I never said that he did anything wrong at all. The onyl thing I was pointing out was

1. He isn't suddenly perfect and holy after a very troubled past (whether or not it was his fault).

2. If this were Brady Quinn, the media would be all over it.

He went to the titty bar and tipped good. Big deal! We all know that OSU players get paid so is this really a suprise that he was a good tipper.
