Just an article on FoxSports.com I found interesting

(sorry, if someone has already posted this)

I take all of this with a grain of salt. If you remember prior to this season with BQs mug all over the mags, after a decent but unimpressive showing in GT the media shoved him under the bus and never let go. There are a few things that need to happen this year for him to be #1. I just really hope he does not go to the Raiders. His career will be over. He would be justified in pulling an Eli Manning and refusing to play for them.

pro scouts are not as influenceable and bi-polar as the college media. these guys work for a professional athletic team, and they do their job to ensure that the person they are scouting is truly talented (hence, troy smith being a LOW pick). they are swayed by media bias.

I think he's probably the heavy favorite right now, and unless he bombs in workouts, should still be in April. He's at worst a top 3 player, if not 1st on most rankings and articles about the draft I've seen. Plus, I think history has shown us that QBs are always overvalued at the draft and a team with a long-term need at that position drafting high is probably going in that direction. And Quinn's actually considered the best player available unlike say Alex Smith, David Carr, or even Carson Palmer.

Of course, Al Davis is a weird cat, Millen might be trying to save his job with a quick-fix solution, and Tampa could end up spending a lot of money on Chris Simms, so anything's still possible. :whoknows:

i hope not. simms has no spleen! I am a bucs fan and would love to get Quinn. We have not had a big time QB since Spurrier.( i am laughing on the inside!)
