It looks like they have extended an offer to R. Rodriguez. I am not a huge fan of his run oriented offense but since he's not coming to ND then I don't have to worry about it.

I guess you didn't watch the Rutgers and Pitt games, the guy takes what teams give him. He is the 2nd best coach in the nation, other than CW of course. When he was the OC at tulane, Shaun king wasn't exactly running the option. At Clemson Danzler threw it around. Rasheed Marshall threw the ball. It just so happens he has two guys that are blazing fast so has the ground game more the last two years.

I'm a huge fan of this guy and the thought of him going to SEC is scary. He'll have Alabama back in the SEC championship in no time at all. I just hope he doesn't leave WVU and he is posturing..

I don't know about leaving WVU for bama. I know bama might be better in the long run, but I wouldn't want to leave White and them. The only problem is you can't win a NC at WVU.

I agree it will be tougher to win a NC at WVU, they could play for it since the BE is a lower tier conference but winning it is another thing.

They could win a NC if they scheduled a REAL non-conference schedule, and still won games. Wait... I proved your point... dang

I think you could win an NC at WVU. Getting there really isn't that tough for them. 12-0 in the big east is easier than any other conference. Once you get to the game, who knows. They weren't supposed to beat Georgia either.

Rich Rod is the best at getting the most out of how little talent he has.

You don't see him landing top notch recruits and last year they go down to Sugar Bowl and beat SEC Champion Georgia. This year his team is in another January 1 Bowl Game.

It's scary to think what Rich Rod could do with a few blue chip recruits.

The problem is that they don't have the horses on defense to hang with the like of ohio st, Michigan, USC. Slaton and White are awesome but two players do not win you a NC. WVU's schedule sucks this year and next year then they do have Auburn, Mich St and Florida St. coming on their schedule. WVU doesn't dodge opponents, look at last years hoops schedule. the vice versa happens a lot though, Va tech was afraid to play someone outside of the very difficult ACC(lol). They ran into a scheduling nightmare with the defection of those teams and Va Tech dropping them and the governer forcing them to play "WE ARE MARSHALL". I have a couple of freinds that are big boosters and my wife is a grad so I stay up on them.

No doubt.... I do hear that Devine is seriously favoring WVU but one blue chip isn't going to cut it. Of course scratch that if RR leaves for Bama or now the word is Miami is going to offer..

Last I heard was that Miami wanted Rodriguez as well, and the bidding war was about to begin.

I agree that going 12-0 in the big east is easy too, but i think the BCS will pick a sec or ben ten team with one lose over them. Do you guys think that WVU would be picked over Mich. or Flordia?

If they had been undefeated this year, they would have gone. But i think the (so-called) credibility of the Big East took a big hit this year. Basically we saw that WVU and UofL weren't all that better than Rutgers, and they're still just a bunch of middle-sized fish in a very small pond. There might be three middle sized fish now, but they still aren't big fish yet. Next year it might be harder since the fiascos of this year will be more fresh.

Some tough choices on the table. Stay at your alma mater? Go revive Miami and become a legend (but face some serious obsticales in poor facilities)? Go to Bama and revive another somewhat dormant giant? I would go to Bama myself.
