Let me try:
#1 FLORIDA - It is just clear than UF is better, I think everyone would agree, correct?
#2 AUBURN - Auburn beat Florida who is clearly better than ND, therefore, Auburn is better that ND.
#3 ARKANSAS - beat Auburn who beat Florida and Florida is clearly better than ND, therefore, Arkansas is better than ND.
#4 LSU - beat Arkansas who beat Auburn who beat Florida and Florida is clearly better than ND, therefore, LSU is better than ND.
Man the SEC is tough, whew!
Wow, your logic is undeniable; will have to go with the following:
-Arkansas beat Auburn who beat LSU, therefore Arkansas is better than LSU
-Arkansas lost to USC who lost to Oregon State who lost to Cal who lost to UCLA who lost to Notre Dame
Therefore, using your transitive logic:
Notre Dame > Arkansas > Auburn > LSU

Exactly, there is no reason to play the Sugar Bowl, we are better than LSU.
That's a relief.
Yes, I have been struggling with this same circular logic. I believe that you can also use it to prove that Michigan is better than Florida.
Michigan > ND > Arkansas > Auburn > Florida
Fun, ain't it?
We can prove anyone better than anyone.
Yes, and sadly this logic still makes more sense than any of the voters in the polls use.
First Post:I think he was talking about next year "Notre Dame may not make the BCS next year"....discuss
just sayin, this thread is SOOOO awkward. : )I know this is a time of great anticipation about which BCS bowl game we get into but lets not put the cart before the horse here. There is a realistic chance that ND is the first team left out of the BCS bowls. Looking at the BCS rankings the Big 10 and the SEC are both getting two teams in so thats 4 spots taken. If Rutgers beats WVU on saturday then the Big East will also get two in, I believe Louisville is locked in being in the top 6 in the BCS, so thats 6 spots taken. Boise St. is locked in(7) ACC,Big12, and Pac10 champs respectively fill out the last 3 spots making 10. Just giving those of you who haven't loooked at this closely a heads up.
