I didn't hear any Dwayne Jarrett is better than Calvin Johnson talk today. Did Dwayne even play? I guess he only shows up for teams that pulled his offer.

Dont take Ucla lightly there dude, because Ucla is the same team we had to come from behind and beat. Not raggin on ya or nothin but Ucla is a damn good football team.

I am happy for Karl Dorrell. He's a good man and a good coach. Carroll is a total asshat.

They brought in a new D coordinator and used virtually the same guys they had last year and their defense was much better.

This was a great win for their program, but Petey ain't going anywhere any time soon.

Still, Dorrell and Weis are rebuilding what was two dormant programs. Not good since both are rivals of SC and compete for the same recruits.

Congrats Bruins.

I wonder if Pete goes to the UCLA locker room to congratulate them? Not holding my breath, he's not CW.

One would think that out there in California they know about "bad karma". Laughed my ass off looking at Poodle's face as USCum went down in flames!!!

See, the one thing "Poodle" can never teach his punks is to be humble in "victory". They talked so much crap about how they beat ND then got whacked by a team that ND beat.

I actually disagree with this interpretation. They flatout lost. They surrended a ton of yards to us, so they weren't dominant on d- good, but not dominant- and on O all year they'd been good, not great. UCLA has a meh offense, not as good as ours, but a much better defense- probably the best D USC faced this year. They just got beat. I don't think our game had anything to do with it. It's just a matchup thing. The SC weakness is on offense this year. To beat them you need a good defensive performance more than anything. We couldn't get one. Arkansas, another team whose D (as shown today) is not too hot, also got beat up pretty bad. But UCLA, with a good D, and OSU who got a bunch of turnovers, won their games.

I do think our game had something to do with it. This loss was a little more than getting flat out beat (which USC certainly did). That offense hasn't been held to that few points since the 2001 season. Granted they're not as good as they have been in the past, but even on a bad day, they'll score more than 9. That team wasn't the same team ND faced. Same players/different emotions/different team.
