Respect for ND and Mark May is an Oxymoron. You think that being in a conference will get more respect for ND? I don't think so. The ND haters are ND haters and I don't care if we joined a conference every year and donated our bowl money they would still hate us. Just the way it is.

Winning a bowl game, especially a BCS bowl game, would be a huge statement for Weis and his staff because that has been the one thing that was not accomplished during Davieham and combined with the fact that it would be Weis' first "big" victory by some folks' standards.

whoever and wherever we play, we need to win BIG.

funny considering ND beat GT in Atlanta and GT beat the shit out of VT in their own backyard. May is just going by the script they give him and he's a shitbird, I am heading scooper's advice and quit watching espn. except when there is college football or basketball to watch and I haven't watched sportscenter anyway since it was done being referred to as "the big show" with patrick and olbermann.

Virginia Tech? They didn't even make it to their conference final. What is Tech's standing in the BCS poll? Try 14th. Auburn (11th), Oklahoma (12th) and Rutgers (13th) are rated ahead of Va. Tech. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but he should at least do his homework.

and auburn got spanked by a then unranked Arkansas team and georgia just as badly as we got beat the by the #2 and #3 ranked teams in the country, and they were beat convincingly, while ND beat themselves in one game and didn't take advantage of golden opportunities like we should have done. Rutgers, not going there out of respect for lattedatte.

The hell with the haters, we'll win our bowl game. That streak will end, no way in hell these seniors will go out on that note.

Its year two, okay? The fact is, Weis wasnt left with a helluva lot. Why do you think ND hasnt competed with the likes of Top 15 teams such as Michigan, Ohio State, or even USC for that matter. Once he gets his recruits in their Notre Dame will be a Top 10 team year in and year out. Talking about Weis being gone is rediculous.

I don't think anyone in their right mind would seriously consider firing Charlie Weis right now? He has taken us to consecutive BCS bowl bids (most likely) and he looks to pull in another top 10 recruiting class this year, no one should, and I doubt did, talk about Charlie being fired.
