ISU and MSU have many of the same canidates, and ISU has called a press conference to name their head coach today. Its expected to be Brian Kelly (CMU HC) or Bo Pelini (LSU D-Coordinator). Both of those guys are in MSU's top 3, but MSU is also looking at Mark Dantonio...the Head Coach for the Cincinnati Bearcats.

I also found this interesting piece from http://fightingwithavim.com

Around 11:00 PM, poster tRicker started a thread about a plane that had left Capital City airport and gone down to Baton Rouge. This plane then made a stop in Cincinatti, before coming back to Lansing.

What makes this so interesting? Baton Rouge is home to LSU defensive coordinator and coaching candidate Bo Pelini. Cincinnati is home to head coach Mark Dantonio, who is also considered a leading candidate for MSU’s open job.
The plane is a 22-seater passenger jet owned by an MSU alumnus. It left Lansing at 5:22 PM on Saturday- just enough time for Tom Izzo to get on board after the Oakland game ended.

After these facts were established, the thread took off like a wildfire, with theories being tossed out every which way. It was suggested that Pelini’s lawyer may be based out of Cincinnati, hence the stop in Ohio. It was thought that these may have been last-chance efforts to pull in a coach ahead of Brian Kelly’s mandated noon deadline.
The more important question: Who is on the plane?

A few RCMB posters ended up driving to Capital City Airport to catch a glimpse of the plane and who was on it. Photos they took prove that they found the plane, and they also claim that the people getting off were Tom Izzo, Mark Hollis, Alan Haller, and Ron Mason- all members of the search committee. They say it’s possible that Haller may have doubled back to pick up someone else on the plane, though that suggestion is speculative at best.

On Sunday morning, more information came out that a 19-seater passenger jet was heading from Lansing to Cincinnati. According to a flight tracker, the plane then immediately came back to Lansing and landed around 10:30 AM. No one from the RCMB was there to see, and someone from SpartanMag was there but did not see the flight come in.

Just thought I would let you know, cause everyone is expecting a head coach to be named later on today or tomorrow.
