Its going to kill our recruiting. I dont know why Weis is even bothering staying in california to try and recruit after the game. No smart kid or gifted athlete is going to want to come and play for a retarted as hell defensive cooridinator or should I call him a helpfull play caller for the opposing offense?

NotreDame OurMother you are an idiot!!!! Im sorry but i love Notre Dame win or lose. Although we lost think about a couple things first of all we are a better team than 2 years ago. Also, charlie is only in his second year. Im very impatient, talkin with my buddies tonite i was like i cant wait two years for a turn around. Well you know what we have to wait around till charlie gets what he needs... Hats off to USC they were the better team as much as i hate to say that. What is important right now is that we get a big win in our bowl game and bring in big time recruits. Trust my drunk ass we are gettin were we need to be... GO IRISH!!

I don't know, if I'm some hot shit player on the west coast, the smart move is to stay away from USC, because I have a better chance of starting at Notre Dame and making an impact right away!

Actually I see this loss as helping recruiting more than hurting. The fast CB and LB, you can easily say you will get the playing time if you put the work in. With all the seniors that ND has a lot of positions will be up for grabs next year and that can help just as much.

Agreed! But, are how many of these kids are smart enough to figure it out.
They get giddy with schools like USC. Just look at the kids in the stands that were shown on tv. USC and other schools will always negatively recruit against ND. The standard line probably is "ND has academics and cold weather. They have fun and sun! Oh, and some free rooms, lots of hot girls,, the beach, don't worry about the classess, we have dancing classes (Leinert) we'll still get you to the NFL, and you won't have to study, etc.

It's not like we got blown out and our asses kicked. We pollsmoked every big opportunity we had throughout the game. This game could have been much closer had Rhema caught a few of his dropped passes, especially his TD that slipped through his hands. How many 4th downs' did we go for on USC's side of the field and come up short ? What about Walker's fumble on the 8 yd. line ? We couldn't capitolize on crap !
As far as your comment above is concerned, haven't we lost to USC every game since Charlie's been here ? Guess what, he still pulled in Jimmy Clausen this year, Reuland last year, both from California while losing to the Trojans. The #1 QB and #1 TE in the nation ! Not too bad, good thing Charlie doesn't share your enthusiasm !
This kind of denial is just amazing to me. YES, it IS like that. We DID get blown out and get our asses kicked. What game were you watching? "Well we had the same total yards as they did on offense!" That's fine. We were NEVER in this game. Never. Not for one second after we first gave up the ball. It's like people claiming the OSU game wasn't a stomping, because "we were within 8 until a long TD late in the game!" No, that was also a complete ass-kicking, and we were blown off the field. We played OSU into #1 preseason this year, and we played USC into this year's title game. We're kingmakers, and it's because we get stomped just like we did during Ty's tenure, but because we clean up against bad teams and ok teams and build a gaudy record, our ranking is high, so when the top team smokes us it makes them look real good.

There will come a season---when Charlie's team will beat Michigan and USC...and the only thing I can hope for is that Carr and Carroll will still be there for the loss. Charlie deserves time to rebuild. I can't imagine how awful that loss was for the team or for Charlie who had to face the press right after it happened. We support this team and this school because of their standards...so the road is going to be tough but we are still ND.
