Fox says Quinn is overrated!

"He played horribly at Michigan State and got his bacon saved only by a few interceptions — one of them a pick-six — by his defense against a Spartan team that completely crumbled."

Quinn against MSU...

20/36 for 319 yds.
5 TDs, 1 INT...

WTF is this guy on about. Does he realize that he doesn't know shit about college football? Give me that "horrible performance" any day of the week. And that was the game that he highlighted as bad...

Compare that to Smith's "Horrible" game against Illinois, a team with less wins in the Big 10...

I can't watch fox if I do my aproval rating will drop. See I am a left winger, I fear god will not be able to wash away my sins if I watch Billy O. Or anything Fox related. Except the Nfl and BCs Championship, god understands that delima.

I am so f*ckin sick of these assholes. I have put up with anti-ND bias for as long as I can remember but now I am really starting to get fed up. I want to find this guy and kick the piss out of him. What an asshole. People like him do no research before they open their mouths. F*ckin guttersnipes.

He gets people talking about him & Fox and people to go to their site. I hate it, but that is what the media has come to in this country. True journalism is DEAD. Everything is about shock value and hype, regardless of truth. The media is only interested in getting the story first, even if the story isn't exactly true. They vilify people and then deify them in the next breath, to cover all bases and get everyone's attention.

While it is very difficult to do so, we have to realize that these writers are nothing more than sensationalist hacks hired to get attention by any means necessary.

Your IQ drops automatically when watching O'Rielly...the only safe programing is Football on Fox.

He's going to look really stupid when Brady is the number one QB taken in the next NFL draft!

We all better be prepared for the time between the last game and the draft. The media is going to pick BQ apart, just like they did to Vince Young and Matt Leinart. It's inevitable.

This is true, and we'll be used to it, but they'll do the same think for Troy Smith and I can't wait:):):) I can't wait to hear all the OSU fans weeping and grinding of teeth when they hear about Smith's questionable arm strength and his being vertically challenged (ntm his off the field issues, which ALWAYS get brought up come draft time, even if they took place 4 years ago) every day for 3 months.

I actually like these kind of articles. It shows me that Notre Dame is truly back. Media outlets use ND and its players are a way to gain a bigger audience. What better way to gain that audience than by taken shots at ND? We only have the largest and best fan base in the country. So keep writing the stories and watch as we have the last laugh...and they just look like a dumbass!

I don't even think Troy will get that much interest. They usually reserve that kind of analysis for first rounders, usually Top 10. Troy will most likely be neither of those. He might be saved by the fact that there aren't many good QB's this year.

Eh, I disagree, I think winning a Heisman and a National Championship will net him a pretty decent amount of coverage for a (probably) second rounder.

Sometimes stuff like that can get a guy covered more than the average post-1st rounder, in large part b/c he's already such a household name. Talking about him brings in a larger portion of the audience than talking about some DE from Auburn, who might go in the top 10 but a lot of fans outside the SEC have never heard of before draft day. Look at how much Marcus Vick and Maurice Clarett got talked about (now, to be fair for them it wasn't b/c they were famous but b/c they were infamous, but still, the principle still applies I think). We'll see. I think he'll get talked about, in part b/c I have absolutely no doubt in my mind ESPN will find some nut to try to make it sound like he should be a top 10 pick.

Maybe, maybe not. The draft is so far removed from the season, interest in TS may die down. Let's not forget, he may actually LOSE the NC. That would really damage him because it probably means he got outplayed in his last game. He is a novelty act at best. Perhaps, forgotten with a little time.

That is true, my argument does rest on the assumption that he's gonna win the NC game. I could be wrong about that, but I doubt it at this point. And even if interest does die down, I think ESPN will still hype him up. Don't forget, they do have a vested interest in making the Big Ten part of the headline in every major story they can. Smith and the draft would just give them another venue for doing that.

And I'm telling you, they will find somebody tosay the words, "Troy Smith should be a top 10 pick" by April. Maybe it'll be Desmond Howard. Maybe it'll be Micheal Irvin. Maybe it'll be someone else, I dunno, but I would almost bet my life saving's that one of that networks many dependable lunatitcs will say it repeatedly IF Ohio State wins the NC.

Yeah, they will find someone. Probably a few people. Mel Kiper won't be one of them. Smith & Leak are the only other widely recognizable QBs in the draft.

Oh yeah, I highly doubt it'll be Kiper. It'll be one of the one's has no credibility, not one of the few that has a shred of it.

You have to give Smith his due...his team is undefeated and playing for the NC.
Brady has had a great season but if you look at it objectively Smith won the Heisman with his performance against Michigan.

I wonder what will happen on the next level. I like Brady's size and arm strength. Smith's mobility will help him but his size will be a detrement at the next level.

If Smith wins the Heisman, maybe he will lose the NC game like most Heisman trophy winners. That would be sweet justification for BQ and ND.

Smith's mobility will only come into play next year when he has to run to the back of the lot at Enterprise Rent a Car and get the mini-van instead of the medium sedan.
