Personally I don't think it matters...

Sharpley and Frazier are pretty similiar, Zach is a bit bigger, but that's not all the important. We'll call these two equal.

Jimmy Clausen may have all the talent in the world, but it's hard as hell to learn an advanced offense while you have to worry about school and everything else. If he REALLY works his butt off and manages to get it down (he is an EE, so it's possible) then he could start. I figure he'll be about the same as Sharpley and Frazier unless he's as much of a god as people say. Personally he hasn't impressed me with the film I've seen. I see him hitting wide open recievers with no pressure on him. I'm sure there's gotta be some reason he's the "#1 prospect in 10 years", but I haven't found it yet.

Demetrius Jones seems to be a Chris Leak type player except less of a pussy. Definately throw first, but can run and scramble. He seems to be the smartest of them all to me..but I haven't seen a lot of any of them yet.

So it'll be Sharpley/Frazier, JC, or DJ. Personally I'd like to see DJ get the start. I don't think it'll happen, unfortunately.

I think it'll be either Sharpley or JC. Sharpley if JC can't get the offense quick enough, JC if he can.

Personally I think it should be DJ, but for some reason I can't see charlie giving him the start. Don't know why..just a feeling.

So like I said before, all these QBs are about the same unless JC really is jesus or DJ can pull it off.

I doubt it'd be Frazer only b/c Frazer brings pretty much the same skill set as Claussen, just not as much talent. If the starter's not going to be Claussen, I don't think Charlie'd go w/ Frazer over Sharpley or Jones.

My guess as to how the depth chart would go right now is: Sharpley, Claussen, Jones, Frazer.

Charlie develops pocket passers not running QB's. Yeah I know DJ is a passer first .

Weis has complained to Jones about not running enough in practice. He was holding the ball too long, forcing it into tight spots or throwing it away.

Weis has told him to run when he can or when he has to. The kid is focusing on passing that much.

One thing he is, though, is uncanningly accurate when throwing on the run. That's not something you see often.

Most of us have not seen either Fraser or Jones play and very little of Sharpley. I think Charlie will likely use at least 2 of those 3 early in the '07 season and work in Clausen as early as possible. Look for a starter after the 4 or 5 game. Chances of retaining all 4 is very slim!

DJ is third or fourth string you would think somebody so great and tough would automatically walk on campus and already be starting.

I agree with you I think it is obviously Sharpley's spot to lose. I think it would be a great timeline to have. Sharpley stepping in as a Junior and then JC stepping in as a Junior. Just the right amount of time learning in the back up roll and taking snaps with the second team.

If cluasen doesn't start, than I'd like Fraser to start. I'd like someone who can stay in the pocket and make a precision pass. We've seen some glimpses of Sharpley this year, and from what if seen I don't like how he works. I find his handoffs are done weirdly he holds it out to far.

We are all now dumber having read this.LOL just kidding. Personally I think your really looking at 4 QB's that are all going to have about the same experience level coming into next year, none. I think Sharpley or JC gets the nod early but Jones will have a set package of plays for him every game ala Tim Tebow. I remember watching the Army All-American game last year and the recruitnik, can't remember his name, said that JC would have been the number one rated QB if he was a senior last year. I know he has to earn it but I don't think Weis was planning on bringing him in to sit him for a whole year. Spring should be fun with all 4 in camp.

I like that idea that NDBCS brought up about using DJ as like a Tim Tebow, but I think eventually he will start, there is just too much talent in that MAN's body to waste it.

Ehh.....I don't buy that Weis would ever go to a 2-QB system. For all the hype its gotten in Florida, their offense hasn't been all that overwhelming. They're defense is the main reason they've only got one loss this year.

Honestly, if you put a gun to my head I'd say Demetrius Jones' future most likely lies at wide reciever or another school right now.
