ND to wear memorial decal on Helmets.

I don't know how many of you have heard about this but in honor of Bill Lewis's son, who died in an helicopter training mission in the Air Force, ND and Air Force are going to wear the patch from his squadron on the back of their helmets. I think this is a great idea except, why on the helmet and not the jersey?

I think it's a great idea as well... i guess helmet decals are less work than uniform patches, as well as more low key. it's something to honor the guy, but i don't think it should get too crazy. sorta like the tillman helmet decals the cards wore last year. low key, but there.

not bad,I agree from the previous post it's the cost, it's on the back of the helmet anyway,a low key way to honor someone!

Sounds like a great tribute idea. Another reason it could be on the helmet, atleast ND's helmets, is it would actually stand out more. Even a consirable sized patch on the uniform might get lost. we never having anything on our helmets so it kind of sticks out....just a thought.
