tough break for him, I truely felt he was the best player in the country. He'll be a good one in the NFL.

can this guy go one year without getting his ass busted up badly
really, in hindsight, how does this kid not get hurt? He's carrying the ball 25-30 times a game and is going up against 8 or 9 guys in the box each time. He's going to get worn down. Now, I haven't seen the play where he gets injured, but can you imagine the wear and tear on this guy?
I'm with shamrock. this kid should just go and get his paycheck. For a kid that's a definite pro, there's no reason to risk a career-ending injury just because your team doesn't have any other options. Even if he doesn't play the rest of the year, he'll still be a first rounder, probably a top 10 pick.

Kind of a freak play. He went off-tackle and broke off a huge run with the help of some good downfield blocking and a healthy dollop of speed. Right around the 5 yard line, one defensive player got just enough of a hit on Peterson to knock him a little off-balance, but Peterson's momentum carried him forward and into the endzone for the touchdown, where he finally fell, landed awkwardly on his shoulder, and got up very gingerly. You could see a couple of blockers rushing up to knock him around a bit for the celebration, but they pulled up short, probably because they saw on Peterson's face that something was wrong.
Wasn't much of a hit at all, and many an opposing player has fallen into the endzone after a much harder hit from Zibby and have gotten up just fine. But any time anyone falls over, there's always that tiny chance of something going wrong.
