Unfortunately, I told my girlfriend that ND has a bye week and now I have to go to the dog beach with her. God do I hate bye weeks.

Throwing my son a second birthday party. Though we'd be doing that if it weren't a bye week. Last year, it was during the USC game. I couldn't even tell you who was at that party.

Luckily I have a golf tourney this weekend for the bar I go to on the Weekends. ND and Bears are both on bye's so Im glad I'll have something to do. Supposed to be cold and rainy, but hell with it free beer at the tourney.

It's my nephew's birthday party. He could not have picked a better week. Then on Sunday I can watch my Raiders get their behinds handed to them.

The bye week falls on my team's homecoming. I'll be in the parade Saturday after Friday night's game, riding in the coaches car. I was asked to come in and help shaparone as an enforcer looking for booze and whatnot.

I said thanks but no thanks.

After the parade, I'm going to watch the Buckeyes cream Slappy McFlagplanter, then get together with friends for the Gators and War Eagle.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE SCOOPER.

This will no doubt be the game du jour at the birthday party.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE SCOOPER.
Thanks. He's already quite the little Irish fan. You've got to get to these kids when they're young.

Don't get to them to early

Don't get to them to early

or else they will turn out like me; obessed with 18 yr old boys who play football for ND and sitting on the internet looking up ND recruiting instead of working.

I converted my buddy's kid, age 2. Would not have mattered much...they live in Chesterton, IN. They'd have gotten him eventually. Mom is a Purdue grad, though. Converted her as well.

He's a big Sox fan, so instead of 'You can put it on the board, YES." we have him on a "Go Irish" and "We Are ND" vocabulary.

The Bears play Monday night. Talk about a lost weekend.

First off, I will have an unstressful weekend - ND is not playing (Friday night and Sat Morning I am basically sick to my stomach in anticipation for the game), I am going to the PSU/Mich Game at 8 p.m. - Looking forward to the potential upset (manningham is reportedly out - and PSU can defend the run - so I will cross my fingers that PSU wins.)

I'll be watching the other games, OSU vs Mich St, Mich vs PSU, Fla vs Auburn, and maybe even Rutgers vs Navy.
Ditto ! Especially the Navy game.
I love Ross at Army and Johnson at Navy as well as all "our guys" in theatre. Stay safe boys.

I'm going up to South Bend for a conference. Perfect Notre Dame weather by the way: Sunny, 50's on a nice October morn. Should be quiet but nice on campus.

All day up until Monday are going to suck for me. I'm pretty much going to spend all of the next 4 days reading "All the King's Men" (..I'm on p. 25 of 651, lol) and then all of Sunday writing a paper for it.

I'll take a few hours off, though, to watch the Auburn-Florida game.. and I might check out the OSU-MSU game since I think MSU has a chance.

..have a game on Friday and that's about it.

The good news is that all my applications are done, so that's one major thing off my mind.

Going to Westchester, PA this weekend with my girlfriend to hang out with her sister and friend and then we're going to my best buddie's place to watch UFC 64 in which Rich Franklin will destroy his opponent as usual. Irish and the Packers are both off this weekend, so what else is better than a road trip?

I'm going to go to the Wisconsin Badger-Minnesota game here in Madison. Gonna watch the Badgers keep the axe. It's homecoming, so based on the post about the ND home games, the atmosphere should be quite different. Funny thing is, some of my party going to the game are in-laws from Minnesota.

Yeah it should be quiet. The entire campus is on fall break. I'll be heading home from ND to watch my high school's football team and a week of well needed sleep.

I'll be watching some of the games Aub-Fla, PSU-Mich, and I'm even looking forward to the Rutgers-Navy game. Navy is 5-1 so if they beat an undefeated 5-0 Rutgers they could inch closer to being a top 25 team, which would help our SOS very much. UCLA could also help our SOS with a win over Oregon this Saturday
