If I would have paid $35.00 to see Tito kick the crap out of Shamrock in the first round again, Id be pissed ! Tito VS. Liddell 2 should be an awesome fight ! Any thoughts ?

i agree - i didn't pay for the last fight and am glad i didn't! and this was almost an identical match. What did you think of the end when Tito gave Shamrock the bird when he was coming to shake his hand? I thaught it was kind of hilarious because Shamrock is the one that always said he didn't respect Ortiz - BUT, i did think it was great sportsmanship once Tito cooled down and they kind of buried the hatchet. and you're right the Tito/Liddell will be a great rematch.

Cant wait...

Cant wait...

to see Tito and Liddlell !

I thought Tito showed alot of respect for Shamrock after the initial "flip-off" LOL ! You gotta admit, it would be hard to bury all of those stored emotions in a matter of seconds, exspecially all the trash talk that had taken place over the last seven years. Shamrock, was really cool approaching him after the fight, even when Tito was still walking him off, but it was very emotional for me,"as a huge UFC/Tito Ortiz fan" watching Tito walk up to Ken and thank him for making him a better fighter and complimenting him on what he has meant to the sport. UFC has grown so much over the last few years, Ken Shamrock was a huge part of that. It's nice to see him go out with such emotions, regardless of the loss !

I was more dissapointed with Ed Herman. I really grew to like him during TUF3 but Jason Mcdonald displayed beautiful BJJ to beat him. Tito/Ken, i am glad it is over so they can stop talking about it. I think Chuck will KO him again, its a bad style fight for Tito, Chucks takedown defense is good enough to keep the fight on its feet just like the first time, giving Chuck enough time to out strike Tito. What UFC needs to do is bring back Quinton Jackson and have him fight Liddell again...Rampage will crush him just like he did in Pride

Rampage will not beat Chuck again. Chuck does not lose to anybody twice. I think he underestimated Rampage a bit the first time. Also, people refuse to give Tito a chance in his fight against Liddell. I think it has more to do with the fact that people hate Tito so much. But anybody who saw the last fight saw that Tito was able to hang with Chuck on his feet. The problem was that Tito's pride got in the way and he decided to stand with Chuck. I think he felt he had a lot to prove after losing to Randy so badly.

Tito attempted two very weak takedowns of Chuck in their first fight, and Tito won't get suckered into fighting Chuck's fight again. People keep commenting on Chucks' sprawl, but Tito had great takedowns. And this time, he will actually try to take Chuck down. You have to keep in mind that this is not 42 year old Randy trying to take Chuck down, nor is it 185 lbs Jeremy Horn.

I'll say it here first. Tito will beat Chuck. Although I have my doubts about Tito being able to beat Babalu after that.

Agreed !

Agreed !

I dont think Tito loses to Chuck again. Tito looks like a different fighter since his ko to Liddell. Stronger, more disciplined, although he did run out of gas against Forrest Griffin months back late in the fight (still winning). It should be an awesome fight !

of coarse he is going to look stronger and better...when he is fighting overrated 42 year old men who are better suited for pro wrestling rather than MMA...dont get me wrong, i like Ken, i think Ken has done a lot for the sport, but seeing him get beat by Fujita, Don Frye, Rich Franklin, and Tito 3 times, i mean come on...his best days were in Pancrase enough said...

Back to Ortiz...i actually am a very big Ortiz fan, I dont talk smack about him because I dont like him, I simply think Chuck's strength (his KO power) is to much for Tito's weakness (his chin) Shamrock rocked him, Patrick Cote rocked him, Liddell KO'ed him. Everyone who fights chuck wants it to go to the ground, the only guys to do so were Rampage, and Couture...Babalu couldnt(twice), Belfort couldnt, Randelman couldnt, Tito couldnt...Chuck does have excellant take down defense. The only elite fighter that Tito has beaten was Wanderlai Silva, and you can make a case for Vitor, but I just think he is a tad bit overratted, thats my take

I hate Ortiz. Nothing gets my blood boiling more, than to see him being a good guy.

Shamrock is just to old. To me it seemed that he was that Ken was that older guy, that saw some new punk kid tryign to make a name for himself, and wanted to teach him a lesson.

Now, on to the real deal.

Everyone and thier mother is gunning for Liddell. At this rate I think im scheduled to fight him.

He has to POSSIBLY fight Silva and then Ortiz!? Thats tough for any pro fighter. Regardless, I think Franklin - A. Silva is going to be a gem.

BTW, I hate Ortiz......... BUT I respect his preparation, his coaching skills, and talent.

Tito's chin is one of his strongest points. He has never been knocked unconscious. He tapped out to Shamrock mostly based on fatigue. And Tito won the first 3 rounds of his fight with Shamrock, then he gassed in teh fourth, being forced to tap out when Shamrock hit him with like 4 consecutive hammer fists.

But Tito's chin is amazing. It took like 7 or 8 hard shots from Chuck to knock him down. ANd even then, Tito wasn't out, and it looked like he went down himself to avoid more shots. He has taken hard hits from Wandy and an amazing flurry by Vitor, and still was not knocked out.

you know, i think we are at a disagreement here...you say he took multiple shots from Liddell, i say if you look at the replay, he blocked most of Chucks intial combination punches and it was one straight jab that put him out, the rest were landed once he was falling...(however this happens to most people Chuck hits) I was actually not refering to Frank Shamrock, I was refering to Ken in the first round of there first fight...Tito's has a lot of strong points like his work ethic, his conditioning, his ability to effectivly ground and pound from the guard, great wrestler, but his chin is not one of them...i like tito...MMA and the UFC is more fun when Tito is rolling...i love watching his gravedigger act after victories, i even own some team punishment shirts, I am not one to nut hug Liddell, i just think it is a bad match for him...he has the chance of proving me wrong and you right in December

I just don't understand how somebody can say that somebody's jaw is weak when they have only been knocked out once in 18 fights. And that one knockout was to the best knockout artist in the business today. He took more than one shot by the way, I have seen that fight over and over because I think it is one of the greatest fights ever. I remember being so charged up for that fight, maybe even more so than the first Tito - Ken fight.

I'm still disappointed about this weekends UFC. I want to see the Franklin - Silva fight, but the rest of the card sucks. I think Franklin is going to win by the way, maybe a lot easier than most people expect. I know Silva did great things in CageRage, he did beat Murray and Jeremy Horn, but I just have a feeling that Silva is not going to get it done. I like Franklin though, so I may be biased.

Hey, I noticed that you are in Vacaville. I just moved out to Sac recently. UFC 65 is supposed to be taking place in Sac according to mmaweekly.com. I haven't seen the tickets going for sale. But, I am planning on going to that. Haven't been to a live MMA fight since Strikeforce 2, and never been to a UFC. I'm not a big fan of Vegas so this is a great opportunity.

Chuck went in to the Rampage fight with a injured shoulder, he should have pulled out but he didn't want to so I give him credit for being one tough b@astard. I also see him winning a rematch if there ever is one.

I see Chuck beating Tito again also, Tito hates getting hit so he takes the fight to the ground, but I doubt he can take Chuck to the ground, his take down defense is unbelievable.

I'm in midtown.

Yea, the tickets have gone up ridiculously. But still, the StrikeForce tickets were only a couple of bucks cheaper. I have never been to Arco Arena, so I am not sure how the view from the nosebleeds is. I don't feel like paying $200 for the closer seats.

It's a great card though. I could care less about Sylvia - Monson, but Hughes v. GSP, and Mir v. Vera, GREAT! Plus, Nick Diaz always brings exciting fights.

I can't believe Silva beat Franklin! I had seen Silva fight, and always thought he was given a little too much credit. I thought Franklin would try to take it to the ground, considering that he is much bigger than Silva and that Silva is a better striker.

The good thing about arco is that it's small, so a nosebleed seat "seems" a little closer...I hate Nick Diaz, even though he is local, something about him i just cant stand...Mir used to be my favorite, but now he seems slow, out of shape and mentally not there anymore, maybe due to the accident. Silva made Rich look like an school girl after he gave him that brazillian nose job...i was shocked, i knew Silva was dangerous, and could win, but i didnt think he would win so easily...I think he is just as effective on the ground as he is standing...he has his black belt in BJJ from the Nougera(sp) brothers, those dudes are no joke, and i would love for Dana to bring them to the states...rumor has it that Matt Hughes wants to move up a weight class to fight Silva, i dont know if thats such a good idea...???
