How funny that Mich St. players get offended if someone else plants a flag on sparty field. Guess John L. had a problem with that too.

Yeah, it's pretty funny from the "azz hole" sparty team members and fans when their team do it, but come their turn to get one planted then they take offense. Have you noticed also that since the beginning of the annual MSU football team's "meltdown", the sparty trolls go into hiding!!!:scatter:

This is what I've been hearing coming out of the MSU fan peanut gallery.

"There's a huge difference planting you flag on the 25 yard line, and planting your flag on your logo like Ill. trying to plant their flag on the "S" at Spartan Stadium. "

I like that logic, I could almost hear the words coming right out of John L's mouth. However, for the most part even the MSU fans and alum are saying the John L is a nut and has to go. Just a few dyhards are subscribing to the nonsense above!

During the ND game wasn't JLS quoted (an ABC piece) as saying something along the lines of...I was dissappointed that my boys couldn't find the 50 yard line.

If this is the case (and I believe it is), than Sparty fans arguement is even less believable.

umm, I was at the game in 2005. Sparty definitely planted the flag at the 50, so if ND had a logo there, they would've hit it. I was sitting about 30 rows up at the 40, so I had a perfect view. And in 2003 it was at least very close to the 50. they planted it right in front of the Irish guard and band getting ready to play that time. I was hoping the Irish guard would've take them out.

MSU needs to spend less time defending the 50 yard line AFTER the game and more time defending their endzone during the game.

John L is one more last minute loss away from shooting up a schoolhouse.

Do you have proof? Everywhere else even tv footage shows that they planted the flag at the 35 where the ball goes for kickoff.......

the TV footage never shows a yard marker. ND's 50 doesn't have a big logo, so it isn't obvious. no, I don't have proof, but I know others who were there that day who would agree with me.

In 2003, I don't know for sure what yardline it was on. In 2005, I am positive it was at the 50.

ok, maybe they missed the fifty by a few inches, that's about it. If you don't believe me, fine, I don't really care. I was there. I'm telling you what I saw.

I don't care if they planted the flag at the frickin' extra-point line. Planting a flag ANYWHERE on your opponent's field is just bush-league.

Geez. Act like you've won a road game before.

Good Point!! It's just a serious, serious lack of sportmanship to do anything along those lines. I hate seeing that type of thing and I don't feel bad for teams like those getting their "just" desserts when pay-back time comes around.
