I work in IT, and applied for a PM position so I need to take a 'Proctor U Skills Assessment'.
I need a webcam, calculator (but graphing not allowed), and a microphone. I've never in my life heard of this exam, so I'm wondering pretty much everything.
Is this something I can take in my sweat pants on Saturday? It sounds like a logic exam, similar to the ACTs. But then why do I need a microphone and webam? Will I actually be interviewing 'live' and so I need to wear a suit? Or is the webcam just to make sure I don't have a group of people helping me with it? I'm not trying to cheat, I just want to know if I need to dress up or not. I'm more effective in my ND sweats. This is through a 3rd party, so I wouldn't think the people I'm interviewing to work with would know one way or another. It looks like I can schedule it for anytime (even Saturday), so I would assume I will not actually be talking to a live person.
Also, any insight on what type of questions to expect? It sounds like it's broken up into two parts of ~ 1 hour each. The email didn't really give any insight. Just how and when to schedule.
Thanks!
