People talked about the "bad play calling" by Georgia Tech in week one, but this was a biggest gift victory I can recall in a long time. Lost in the wonderful heroics of Notre Dame, who I assume knows the game is four quarters long, was the complete stupidity of Michigan State's staff. A 16 point lead and they're throwing the ball, running their QB on options....moronic. They deserved to lose this game and JLS deserves what comes to him.

I thought JLS worst coaching was right before the half when he didn't call any timeouts, he would've had the ball with more then a minute to play. Their offense was shredding our D at the time, they probably would've score another TD. Just just awful coaching, I was amazed he didn't call any timeouts, even Boob was amazed, and he's an idiot

I haven't heard anyone in the media bashing JLS for his classless comments on the flag inncident. If Weis had made public comments like that everyone in the media and opposing fans would bash him.

I agree. That makes the whole situation a bit more ironic. It is actually upsetting that it seems that referees call "late-hit" penalties based on what they assume the offensive player will do in the (very) near future, and not based on his position at the actual time that contact is made. We're still playing tackle football, right?

Smith (and/or MSU) is really showing bad judgment here, in issuing a formal complaint after hearing what Weis said, most notably because Weis did not even say it was an MSU player who hit him. Is Smith simply grasping at straws, or trying to create a diversion from his program's ineptness, or simply misunderstanding the situation at hand?

But no, he actually believed we were classless enough to do it back.
