I will admit it when I was wrong. I thought Notre Dame was going to run the table. Just like most ND thought. We let the media and polls get to our head. This game showed who we truly are. We are not the #2 team in the nation. We never were the #2 team the nation. Call me bitter, but we deserve a #10-11 right now.

But I wont care about the polls and media anymore. As long as we keep winning and improving every game, I will be happy. We need to come out blazin against MSU next saturday and not let up.

The coaching today was the worst I've seen since you know who. The play calling was absolutely horrible. Quinn looked like a high school QB, with throwing low on screen plays. No one could catch the ball, make tackles, make blocks, make holes to run through, and the most annoying part of the game, TURNOVERS!!!!

And dont let me get started on the Defense. Fiesta Bowl #2.

I see us dropping to #10-11 and michigan going up to #5.

GO IRISH!!!

Michigan should be in the top after todays performance, and ND should easily drop to 11, no lower than 13

I see ND falling to 12. The atmosphere at the game was no where near that of the PSU game. I agree, the play calling was horrid and the absence of Aschwap was glaring. If you can't run the ball......you're done.

Couldn't agree more, the play calling was horrible. PLay the freshman defensive backs..our seniors are killing us. If Charlie is serious about playing the best, regardless of experience, he will go will the freshmen in the MIch. St. game.

You know, I'm actually going to sound pro-Nd by saying this, but IT'S JUST ONE GAME!

Before this game, Henne was generally bad and our defense would relinquish leads.

Before this game, Quinn was generally good and most Irish fans agreed there was great progress.

One game isn't going to change everything. I was very heartened to hear leaders like Hart and Manningham talk (before they were asked by the way), about the importance of keeping this up next week and making sure this win was not an aberration. This game did not all the sudden propel us to elite status (that will come when we get through the B10 unscathed), and it didn't suddenly make Nd fall from the ranks of the elite.

Next week is not only huge for Nd, but us as well. We must make a statement that this was no fluke. And we must be better from here on out if we even want to have a chance at defeated a very good OSU team. Our fans are not sounding the tunes of national title hopes, at least not yet. We want proof that Henne is the real deal and that our defense can stop virtually anyone. In much the same way, Nd fans should not all the sudden think that the season is over, or that the team won't perform well in subsequent games. If we beat Wisconsin badly next week, and Nd loses to MSU, then maybe it's time conclude that things have changed. For now, though, it's still wait and see. Next week will be huge for both teams.

I agree with VV. The season is a long one and until we start racking up the losses (not going to happen) like years past, this team is still a very good one worthy of remaining in the top 15. I'm very excited about the future and was hoping this was ND's year to win it all (which it still might be), but I'm not closing the books on anything. The teams ahead of us have just as much to lose week in and week out as we do.
